Eve should advertize on TV. I see all these ads for World of Warcraft, and it seems the obvious choice Shatner is already taken.

We should use Sir Patrick Moore

This would rock.

I can already see it: Fast-paced lazor fight where the camera is zoomed in on the attacker's multifreq-lens. Camera pans out - reveals the lens is really SPM's monocle.

I don't think CCP has that kinda cash to splash around. Anyway, instead of Patrick Moore or prof. Brian Cox or Charlie Sheen, I think the Manson family would be more fitting.

I would think Shakespeare is a rather odd choice for a space game.

I saw an advert (can't remember what channel) which had a Dust 514 trailer..although I think it was advertising the new EVE Online novel, some time ago. This was here in the US...

The Tv spot should be similar to the Would you like to know more from Starship troopers film just showing the different kind of captains in EVE.


Then show how different captains work:

Malcolm Reynolds : My crew it's the uttermost important.
Darth Vader : The only purpouse it's conquest on massive scale!!
Han Solo : smuggling and becoming rich, be a hero part time!!
Stanley "H" Tweedle : i'm bored let's blow up some planets!!!

The problem here though is that crew almost has nothing to do with EVE now and for the foreseeable future.

Also, when you think about it, don't Mal and Han do the same thing?

I think the coolest thing would be to morph their ships into an EVE role in addition to them saying a short line related to their character.

Serenity turns into a Cheetah that cloaks
Tie Fighter turns into a Rifter or a Freki or something
Millennium Falcon turns into a Nyx =D (Playing up on the "be a hero" thing)

oo oo oo and make their ships do this while in warp and when they land they're in EVE doing something, like maybe vader's freki could have a few dozen rifters in formation with him =D

I 110% agree with an eve commercial why dont they advertise? and yes put charlie sheen in it too i wanna see him raging on eve lol

but seriously an eve commercial would be awesome, especially if its in cgi so the ships look real and huge

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
