and if you're not careful enough to let people drop on you, that loki wouldnt make any difference.

and why MWD, won't it make your ship bigger >>> taking more damage??

You have to get in range, they spawn 60-100km out, you only have to pulse it, not keep it on for the duration of the encounter, and you don't get dropped on in a C5 escalation encounter if you know what you're doing.

I'd advice you use a Bhaalgorn with neuts incase you get jumped. Also, last time I checked, a thanatos can support a fleet of tengus without breaking a sweat in c5 sites.

That Loki fit posted is god damn horrible...
For this role it needs 3 webs and 2 TPs.
If youre using a Rapier, you want 4 webs and 2 TPs.

There is no Bob.

In my experience what you want is a Loki with 3 faction webs and 2 target painters. Warp the Arcon in with the Loki and the Loki pilot starts tagging, webbing and painting.

No prop mod is needed as the Loki sits within remote cap range if the Arcon and does not move for the entire fight. Next, warp in your Dred which escalates the spawn and starts pounding the tagged targets. After most of the BS are dead warp in the 2nd dread and escalate again.

You can speed up the process with an off grid booster T3 or command ship and also have 2 Loki's painting & webbing. When the spawn is almost dead warp in a Noctis to clean up.

Edit: Have a scanner alt with probes out to constantly check for new K162's so you are aware of any new threats.
