No - you just have to remove them from your mindset - there's nothing to maintain except your enjoyment.

Screw K/D ratios and scores on KBs - it's about as important as being molvanian pacman champion in 1982 - do what you enjoy.

LCO speaks the truth.

While killboards, IMO, are the bane of any MMO and can be the cause of some really bizarre behavior, no one is forced to pay attention to them. They are easily manipulated and most good corps understand that.

So just ignore them. Spend all your time solo camping some gate in a Velator if it makes you happy. Never let a K/D decide how you will play a game or you've just flushed fun down the drain.

I'm a vet and I find it hilllllarious when bittervets yell "HTFU!! ADAPT OR DIE!!" at others who complain about changes or whatever, yet whine and shitpoast louder than anyone else when changes concern some aspect of their bittervetness instantly losing "HTFU", "Adapt" and "lol noob" from their vocabulary. That drama alone is worth sticking around for, if you like irony that is.

I like your post because the irony of you being Mr. Epeen yet not caring about your KB Epeen is pretty awesome.

Done it. Jumped in to PF-346 from Orvolle 38 times once, in a Velator. Sat on the gate and waited. Someone popped it and the pod 38 times within 2 minutes each time before I gave up. I've tried similar stunts at mission station drop offs in low sec. Fly an Alpha clone in with a noob ship, dock at the mission station, undock and have the local griefer with the carrier remote repping them pop the noob ship and the pod as I undocked, over and over and over and over. Never once asking for a ransom. Just doing it for "lulz".

Im a vet (probably not so bitter) but lost alot of interest in the game there just isnt anything outstandingly new to keep me intereseted (been there done that after 7 years) All that keeps me subbing is the fact i have spent so much time and effort building up my main character.

So if i wasnt a vet i probably would leave eve no questions.

ps : this is aimed at bitter vets and not at new players by the way..

I've played EVE since 2005 with some regular breaks, I would not consider myself a vet though, I'd reserve that for those that were playing at and near the start of this game.

You play a game long enough it can get boring anyway for the simple reason it's too familiar and no longer has much of a wow factor.

Your friends might have left, or you might feel you play too much and should be doing more with your RL. There's all sorts of reasons you can lose interest in a game.

But why start a thread about it, because there's two other threads about quiting EVE at the moment?

People leave EVE and come back all the time, imagine what it would be like if everyone started a thread about it.

Edit: Ok, after reading your post again, you're not actually leaving because you prefer to just keep developing your character even though you're not really getting anything out of the game. If you're that bored why not take a break and not worry about training it, because at the end of the day your character will eventually be worthless.

Nada. No way. As Mistah Peen says, use your imagination. The game doesn't play itself.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

And you enjoyed that?

Well, to each his own I guess...
