Great work Karkur - love the changes
One question
If the ME of the BP is taken into account, will it point you to the place where you can buy it all as well?

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

That this hasn't been true for years (as it should have been true for years) is really just a highlight in microcosm of how badly EVE has been ignored for so long. Fix it!

PS, thanks for fixing things! And most of all, thanks for TELLING US ABOUT IT! No other game companies have this level of communication and it's amazing. CCP= Best P. err. Best CP. or something.

GREAT WORK! Big smile

I especially like the system info changes.

In case the Little Things thread has gotten too long for ya...

* Can't bookmark ("Save Location") stations from neither the system info context menu nor from the station info!

Currently one has to set destination to the station from the station info, then get the context menu for the station from the route. NOT OBVIOUS!

A button to "Save Location" as well as "Set Destination" on station info would also be more obvious.

* Can't clear a route when docked, except from the starmap (and then it takes a few clicks ON THE STARMAP to get a context menu to appear). No context menu appears from clicking around the route!

As a further extension to the coloured solar systems on 'System > Route' - could you add something similar on the constellation screen for all of the systems in 'Constellation > Related Solar Systems', and the same on the 'System > Adjacent Solar Systems'?

Other than that, keep up the good work :D.

I've been posting this (and seen it posted by other) for ages in threads like 1000 paper cuts and the like, so far no joy.

Let me try again:
I do a lot of market stuff, which means having a lot of orders that need to be adjusted. WHY OH WHY do I have to "right-click --> view market details" on every damn one? Can't the (currently) completely useless doubleclick be remapped to do this (meaning "view market details") instead? Why is the "Show Info" on doubleclick pointless in the order list, you ask? Because every line end with a "i" symbol that allows THE SAME THING with a simple single click (and I can't remember ever using that either, btw.).

It would be SO AWESOME if checking orders would no longer involve opening a context menu for every entry, but just doubleclicks! Pretty please :D

I love how these guys come out of nowhere and just say, "Hey, I've been working on a couple little things..." And we get a long list of what, where, and how.

Yay for the little things!

any chances we can have notes saved locally and not to the cloud and excel sheets? maybe make save files for them to upload and share? or are we going to be relying on our webbrowser instead.

Yeah, I will do that when you get upfront on messing up the overview and start participating in the 1.2 Feedback thread as much as you are trying to participate here.

Your behavior thus far has been very lame and irresponsible.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.

blueprint and ship fittings in quickbar are awesome addition

but something you might want to add is:

in bp specifically and also fittings, same item more then on e, aka turrets or minerals!
add the possibility to buy quantity needed of item/minerals "if order can sadisfy" and add a x Y"quantity of fittings/prod run"
so that you can just right click the trit in the quickbar of the bp and decide how many runs you want and if 1run needs 5trit, and you select 2runs, it will automatically buy 10!

am I making any sence!?

now for shameless self promotion of a feature request
"the horrible ingame calculator"? CCP karkur is not going to like you for that...

ó mæ god!!... ORCACommander, you are dead to me!Evil

(not really though P)

I'll grant you it was fine for when it was released but there are 3 things about it that realyl annoy me.

can only have 1 open at a time

backspace instead of deleting the last inputted numeral or operation clears the entire line to 0

i can not see what i have previously inputted which makes long calculations difficult to double check everything has been put in correctly

I support the changes, the skill changes are not really necessary, but I understand that soon some players will run out of skills they can skill and that CCP needs to tacke this issue.

One question remains though, what will be the role of the supercaps? Right now they are like a combination of artillery and cavallery.

Awesome changes thanks!

I have one teeny request though .. can we get get an import / export option for the quickbar? Nothing says ZZZzzzz.. like having to redo quickbar entriies on my 2 different machines and my laptop and again for each of my market toons .. and then I had to do it all over again on one of my machines when a client patch borked and I had to reinstall the client :(

Other then that .. all good news baby :)

+1 for this. This would be very helpful.

Once I got bored and looked into this (and had it working), but it's actually not that easy.
The owner info is not sent to the client (and we don't want it to be), so the only way to know what are your orders is to compare them with the "my orders" list... which would require a lot of extra trips to the server, which we are not fond of.

What about pulling back an order ID of some kind with the list of orders that can be correlated to the order ID of this capsuleer's orders client side?

One thing I've been noticing recently: as well as "find in contracts", it would be wonderful to have "find in assets" - that is, search all my hangars and see if I've got some of this already. Basically the same as popping up the assets box and typing the name into search, but directly linked to the various production or fitting screens.

But the stuff done so far looks great!

Aren't Caldari supposed to have a large signature?

I know it might be asking much, but would it be possible to see some improvement to the combat text in EVE?

When I played WoW I used the Scrolling Combat Text mod that allowed for all sorts of awesome things.
-There was a slider to hide damage report under X
-Each different type of message could be placed at a different location. So you could have regular combat text on the left (or where-ever) and have warnings on the right.
-Each different type could have their own font, size and color.
-You could set it up to show damage numbers on top of your target.

Maybe EVE servers can't handle this stuff, but at the moment, I feel like combat text is more of a hindrance and I'm barely able to read the text before it gets replaced. I've missed quite a few important warning because of this.

The IDs under "My Orders" are only fetched when you actually open that tab (to reduce server calls, to reduce load, to prevent lag). So when you open the market the client doesn't have that information and in general we don't want to call the server asking for information that the player isn't necessarily going to use. But CCP karkur is going to consult with the server programmers on this request.

I would be entirely satisfied even if the orders only flagged as mine when I open my orders tab. It would suck to not get it with the quickbar, but it would still be totally useful.

This probably seems like a really marginal feature, but: When you do export overview / import overview . . . it doesn't actually import everything, even if you check "everything." The one thing I know it does not import, which is slightly annoying, is the ordering and assignments of colortags and backgrounds on the appearance tab. These are apparently "global" settings that apply to all overview tabs, which is cool, but you still have to reset them manually even if you choose to export / import global settings.
