Does Eve utilize P2P features?

Does Eve utilize Peer-to-Peer features? If so, is this something that can be disabled by end-users individually?

My university just implemented a "great" new feature to their network that kicks anyone that any p2p software on their computer off the network. Turns out, League of Legends uses p2p for updating purposes, but it can be disabled in the launcher. I haven't tested if having Eve installed/running will kick me off the network yet.... just trying to take affirmative action here.
So does anyone know if Eve uses this, and whether it can be disabled?

Thanks.

No, there's no real P2P (as in torrents and there like) involved. Just classic client/server stuff. I think the new launcher that is introduced next week might feature a P2P option for patches, but even then it would be optional.
