Hooray a devblog that doesn't cause repeated rage during reading, and even better actually has some nice changes in there too!

The only thing I'm not so keen on personally is changing the sort order of the assets screen, however I totally see why this is super great for many people, so why not change how the info is listed there? At present the System-(Moon)-Station-# Items-#jumps to location is one big long string pretty much as I just typed it, why not put these diferent bits of data into their own columns (like how most of the rest of the ui tends to be arranged when faced with diferent data like this), then we can sort by whichever set we like, to either find our largest piles of worthless junk/nearest anything/specific station because you know pretty much where it appears on the list alreadyBig smile

Will it be possible to add in future a "Market History" graph for items on contracts--IE, "View Market History" for things like, say....CalNavy Invuln Fields--as well as the standard market?

That would be very cool and useful.

This is even one of the more "obvious" ones since if you press ESC and click General Settings then there is a setting there called "Try to Use Existing Info Windows if Any (Except if Shift is Pressed)"...

@CCP Karkur is there a chance we can get the market to open the default sub category for an item when viewing market details for it?

For example right clicking "view market details" on a warp disruptor II should navigate you to the "warp jammers" sub column when opening the market.

The three things about the UI that are bothering me most right now are:

1) Window position/size memory. Most notably, the Trade window. The way I lay out my hangar and cargo windows masks large portions of the trade window, so I tend to move it up when I'm trading between my characters, which I do a lot of. But then, the next time I trade, it starts out right in the center of the screen again, which is a pain in the ass. Also notable with the item info window, which I regularly resize to view more of, only to have it show up again later in the same annoyingly tiny rectangle in the top left of the screen.

2) Window re-usage. Chaining from number 1: I put my market window somewhere, set the window size and the dimensions of the frames within it how I like it. Later, I open the market with an info window already open in the top left corner and the market window opens in the same space, ruining all my resizing efforts because it's no longer in the middle of the screen and stretched wide the way I like it. This happens with pretty much every useful window in the game. (Note: I do not have "use existing window unless shift is pressed" on. The windows stack, like tabs in modern browsers, not replace each other.)

3) Focus stealing. If I'm typing something in a chat window and I dock, the station services window steals focus and I have to hit spacebar to continue typing. Worse (and far more annoying), if I have a fleet window up at the time, that steals focus and pressing spacebar does *not* put focus back on the chat window. I either have to ctrl+tab or click back in the chat window to continue typing.

I like the route-tab changes. Does that also mean that we can "rightclick / set destination | add waypoint" the solarsystems that are listed there?
