For once, it's not just CCP that are to blame but the players that act like assholes

Okay, so we get this pathetic excuse so many times now "EVE is a cold harsh universe" to cover for how pointlessly unfair and mean some people are in this game but this kind of hit me recently, I was doing recruitment and this guy came saying he was from a 0.0 alliance and wanted to hook up with me. Everything was going find and then I said just to be safe I wanted him to move his stuff to a high sec station first before i give him the location of my corps wormhole entrance.

Now I didn't think this was too bad considering the amount of crap other corporations put people through before they'll even let them join nevermind get near their base, I just wanted to be on the safe side since EVE is a 'cold harsh universe' but really? He ended up not staying because he couldn't understand that if I just gave him the entrance to the wormhole we've got set up in for all I know he's a spy ready to spam it around to anyone that wants to come and gank the small defenseless corp looking to get themselves set up.

The EVE Playerbase should really be ******* ashamed of themselves, I know perfectly nice people in game but the facts are a lot of you act like a bunch of pricks, there's being a pirate, there's ganking people and then there's turning it personal by giving them **** just for joining your corporation. This is about as casual as I think I can make it for players without putting the corporation at risk and I'M getting **** for trying to keep people safe because you assholes take things too far by running around demanding peoples real life information and screenshots of their accounts and people are just losing patience.

Honestly, can we just have on thread where we agree that some things are taken too ******* far and it's just a game? Stop acting like pricks! You'd almost think that the 0.0 alliances were involved with real money in this game with how seriously they take it!

0.0 alliances are involved with real money in this game. It's called RMT, and every null alliance does it...

Going by the info on these forums, quite a few of the 0.0 alliances are involved with real money (RMT). Especially the ones who have large numbers of bots grinding away. Even though I've not personally witnessed it, I really have no reason to doubt it.

Also, the tards who ruin other peoples' play experience just for sh*ts and giggles aren't going to listen to reason, ever. Don't even try. You just have to know how to spot them and avoid them (or kill them). I've never had a problem with it, myself. To me, they are just a slightly more intelligent AI target that is capable of roaming between systems. It's also safe to assume that they are trying to blow up your stuff at all times; well, when they have a massive advantage.

You have not been on the internet for a long time have you? There are no moral standards on the internet. Humans who think they have anonymity express their true feelings more often. When you spend a lot of time on the internet you will recognize, understand and react to this in the correct way. This also applies to EVE. Also, please do not take this as a hostile post.

Then explain to me why Anonymous exists, why the internet is fighting against ACTA and SOPA? Or why you get organisation on a massive scale when some sicko posts videos of themselves committing crimes onto youtube and laughing about it?

Oh and please, I've been around the internet a damn long while, I've seen people fight corrupt politicians and police using the internet, you're just talking a pile of ****.

I would kindly advise that you sodomize yourself with a retractable baton if you actually believe soliciting consolation from the internet forum of a game company is going to be comforting somehow.

I've seen it before, the sad thing is that some of the big null alliances who are involved in RMT blackmail their members. Hence why they have a "don't report our bots policy" and "give us your personal info before we let you in policy."

Hilarious.
It's always the others.

And you can't stop ranting about them, as if that changed anything.

You just rant and rant and rant ... as if that helped. As if that changed anything.

The issue is with you ... not them.

Accept reality as it is. You don't do anything to make it better anyway.
Crying doesn't change anything,
it makes you just look embarrassing.

Every post i come across, it's always the same. You whine about people.

Like ... this guy. It could actually be YOUR fault that he left,
because you didn't trust him. But instead, you whine about him not doing as you want him to.

How about you start whining about yourself, for a change ?
How about you start blaming yourself, for a change ?

But no ... It's always the others .... :)

You care too much. This is just a game without true consequences for acting like a prick. Rob, steal, cheat and scam use every mechanic and loophole to gain the upper hand. Never make a friend you wont stab in the back and don't join a corp you won't screw over. If you can't have fun doing that, play something else, just don't be fooled by the fine veneer of civility, this is a sharks game and is ultimately meaningless to your life. I'm off to gank some high sec miners that somehow fooled themselves that this is a game that can be "won". trololollololololollol

I remember what it was like before MMOs. You see, without people have some place to prik around, they will mess things up in the real world.

If they can't steal, wreck, and grief in an MMO, they will do it in RL. Sure the real world has more consequences, but the need for grief is meta to the game, and so the game offers it more easily, hence they would sooner log into this game than, say, key your new car or poison your dog "for the lulz".

And because of MMOs, I have saved a lot of money on ammo.

Confirming that no one will ever find your wormhole unless you give them the system it's currently connected to.

He probably realized that you're a paranoid er, "special person", and decided to stop wasting time with you. If you want security make sure you and your gang are set up to defend yourselves. The "shh don't tell aaaaanyone where we are" approach is ridiculous. While you may think it's keeping you safe, what is actually keeping you safe is the fact that no one cares enough to evict you. Yet.

You should have given him the system number then asked for his help in closing the wormhole. Er, you do know how to collapse a wormhole right?
