PS: If you happen to get bored I'd LOVE the ability to see which market orders are mine in view market details... and then the ability to right click modify them directly from there.
+1 for this. This would be very helpful.
Once I got bored and looked into this (and had it working), but it's actually not that easy.

The owner info is not sent to the client (and we don't want it to be), so the only way to know what are your orders is to compare them with the "my orders" list... which would require a lot of extra trips to the server, which we are not fond of.
Is there a ID tag for each market order? If so, could you cross reference the ID tags under "My Orders" with those in the list you are viewing in the market client side instead of going back to the server?

Probably doesn't work this way, but I figured every market order would probably have a unique ID for sanity.
The IDs under "My Orders" are only fetched when you actually open that tab (to reduce server calls, to reduce load, to prevent lag). So when you open the market the client doesn't have that information and in general we don't want to call the server asking for information that the player isn't necessarily going to use. But CCP karkur is going to consult with the server programmers on this request.

Why not send a RequestorID along with your market list request, the server can flag the matching orders in it's client return.

I'll ask some server experts, but I'm guessing there is one order list that everyone gets, and it's going to add too much extra work on the server to be distributing different orders to the clients.

Yeah it would be great if you could ask a server guy how feasable getting this info is.
Also, do you know if there's a gameplay reason not to do this - or is it purely technical?
It's something a lot of people would love, and we'd just like to know if we should keep harassing you guys to get it.

Thanks :)

Then, on a beautiful Sunday evening, when I had compiled a long list of your ideas (both from that thread and other threads) and prioritized it, I fired up the client and my awesome TextPad, and started trying out stuff to see how much work was needed to take the changes all the way.

In Team Avatar there are currently 4 programmers, 1 tester, and 1 game designer (actually EVE's Game Design Director), and a product owner (EVE's Creative Director). <..snip..>

In addition then the team, first and foremost CCP karkur, has been working on Little Things on the side, to improve players' experience. She has managed to get that extra work done on Sunday evenings and in between other tasks because she likes to do it and because players have asked for these things.

Awesome. Keep up the good work.

Will you add show in contract feature also to folders created from ship-fittings?.

Do you mean in the menu of the items in the quickbar? If you do, then yes, when the folders and the items in them have been created in the quickbar, they are all the same.

Thanks and that is great. Now I can faction fit all my ships :)

First of all, awesome effort! I really appreciate little things like this!

But now you're iterating I've got a little suggestion:

When dragging fittings and now blueprints to the quickbar it gives a nice list of the requirements for that fit/job. However, it doesn't show the amount of modules/parts/minerals I need for it. This means that I still have to look up the fit/blueprint to find that out. Wasn't the point of these additions that I don't have to do that anymore?

Is it possible to put this information in the quickbar as well to ease the logistical strain?

Also, will this work for reactions as well as blueprints and fittings?

Sorting the asset page by the amount of stuff in any given station seems like a particularly bad idea to me. The whole idea of sorting is to present (obviously ordered) but consistent and predictable information that a person can effectively navigate. With this new method the presentation will be changing over time and not presented in any meaningful way to the human mind...I'd guess this will result in a lot more searches in the asset windows.

That is totally good enough for me - if it can reasonably be done I'm sure you guys will get it out. Thank you very much. <3

Impressive!

So many "little things" that actually make a BIG change in using EVE day to day.

Hat's of to you - You've definitely earned yourself a beer (or two) at FF - Find me Lol

Oh and - Please don't stop!

If we could get a list of improvements like that every month or two, just imagine how EVE would be a year or two from now Shocked

I am still missing the "BUY THAT F!§%&NG FITTING! NO MATTER WHAT!" button in the fittings-window.

We load / share / store fittings all day and can do all fancy stuff with them...but if you want to fly that ship, you have to look module for module after prices, availability and such...

The function should buy all available parts at the current station at the lowest price. If a part is not available, buy it on surrounding stations, constallationwide. Return a list where all those parts are located or throw error with which parts could not be bought.

Well... the only thing that is changing with that is the now the list will be in descending order when you sort by "number of items", rather than ascending order . So if you like your assets sorted by "name", you are free to do that Smile

I know I'm late to the party, but it's fashionable.

One nark I currently have with the UI is linking 'show info' items to chats.
