My god, so much hostility in this thread. This is something I tell anyone I invite to EvE: You are flying a wreck, you just haven't realized it yet (unless you're a Minmatar pilot, in which case you know it from the second you see the hull). EvE is beautiful in that there is no real "right" or "wrong" way to play the game. Yes, fitting a CNR with a cloak and cargo expanders and flying it into lowsec isn't the smartest idea, but you typically learn what items on your ship helped you and what only contributed to your demise. Every ship loss serves as a learning experience. Instead of getting frustrated, it's better to assess what you did wrong and improve on it, rather than throwing a bitchfit in local. If you're trying to play basketball and miss a shot, do you just give up on the game or do you look at what you are doing wrong and work to improve it? Although EvE's PVP is the equivalent of someone running up, popping your basketball and kicking you in the yarbles, you should not let this deter you. You lost a ship, so what? Do missions, do ninja salvaging, scam Jita, explore new areas, run incursions or get with a corporation that is wiling to point you in the right direction. Start small with PvP, take out the almighty Rifter for a spin, or maybe a Merlin since you appear to be a Caldari pilot. Work your way up to where you can safely jump a gate, have your ship be a wreck before the next system loads, and you can nod and accept the loss as a part of the game.

Whether this is a troll or not, I'm uncertain, but this type of situation is one of the things that makes EvE different from other MMOs. There's not only a learning curve to the game, but a maturity curve. That's why I believe the game has less subscribers than WoW, but still remains relevant: because the ones that can tough it out really do find this game can be a work of art and a joy to play.

. In fact, they're not designed for Active Shield Tanking of any kind. He'd be better off with more Large Shield Extenders and Shield Rechargers than any kind of Civ-module. Miura Bull (the guy who killed the Drake) actually did the poor ship a favour.

If you can't fit a Drake properly, you're not ready to exact revenge at all. Go train some skills to actually improve your tank before you try again.

Riiight, ok - so there's no way that an active tanked Drake would ever work? Ah, ok, never mind - I didn't notice at first that you work for Aliastra...a space supermarket.
