+1 for this. This would be very helpful.

I agree too w this.

One question about the blueprint drag feature: it's a nice idea, but how would ppl know that they can drag the blueprints there?

yeah, we have also been thinking about this... there are some hidden "features" in EVE (like holding down SHIFT to split stack, and while opening "show info" window to get a new one), and we probably don't communicate them well enough.
We are planning on adding something in the Evelopedia, and also hoping you guys spread the word P

Market request: I'd like to be able to distinguish which orders are mine or from my corp or alliance mates. Similar to the new yellow coloring for orders available along my route, please add some coloring or indicator of some kind to identify which market orders are from me, and also which market orders are from other members of my corp or alliance

Also, when I come into possession of more goods of a type that I'm already selling, please permit me to add them to an existing market sell order, rather than having to start a new order and/or tear down the old one. For example, suppose I have a bunch of Cap Booster 25s and put them all on the market. Then I run a mission or two and come back with six more of the same item. I don't want to have two market orders separately selling my Cap Booster 25s: I should be able to merge the six new items into the existing order

its missing some graphs, bitches love graphs.

nice blog, and good stuff

one request. would it be hard to make it so that on a showinfo on a system you could rightclick on a system in the route tab (or the name of the system itself) to set destination to somewhere along the route?

This is exactly the kind of stuff we have been looking for. Frankly I'm shocked and offended that you think you could get into my pants so easily. Oh you weren't trying to seduce me? Sorry my bad.

Once I got bored and looked into this (and had it working), but it's actually not that easy.
The owner info is not sent to the client (and we don't want it to be), so the only way to know what are your orders is to compare them with the "my orders" list... which would require a lot of extra trips to the server, which we are not fond of.

I can see that being a problem. Sounds like the only way to get around that would be to locally cache the My Orders list on the client and refresh it only when you get a wallet update related to market orders or modify a market order. Unfortunately you probably considered that and it wasn't that much of a Little Thing.

Pity - thanks for the explanation though! <3

Chalk another one up to "things I didn't know about":

Next time you have an aggro timer listed on the screen, mouse over it.

Awesome. Keep up the good work.

Will you add show in contract feature also to folders created from ship-fittings?.

Why not send a RequestorID along with your market list request, the server can flag the matching orders in it's client return.

Do you mean in the menu of the items in the quickbar? If you do, then yes, when the folders and the items in them have been created in the quickbar, they are all the same.

Great work CCP karkur and team.

Can we please have the option of showing the EVE date AND the time? I know you guys didn't think it was useful, but for some of us who live in other timezones it was quite handy.

Owner ID isn't absolutely necessary for personal orders IMO. The globally unique order ID should already be sent to determine where you want to purchase from, so it would be a case of comparing that to the orders list.

Without ID re-use you could cache the list once when you load the client and then re-load it when a new order is entered.

In this case repeated polling of the server should not be necessary as it is event driven. That is to say; the client knows when a person hits the button to place an order, I presume that the new orderid could be, or already is, included in the callback to this operation and added it to the local hash table of order ids. Expired or completed orders are a non-issue as they would never appear in the list to require highlighting.

The above would not work for corp orders of course, that would require some kind of event subscription model that was triggered at the same time as the corp wallet was updated.

I'll ask some server experts, but I'm guessing there is one order list that everyone gets, and it's going to add too much extra work on the server to be distributing different orders to the clients.

Is there a ID tag for each market order? If so, could you cross reference the ID tags under "My Orders" with those in the list you are viewing in the market client side instead of going back to the server?

Probably doesn't work this way, but I figured every market order would probably have a unique ID for sanity.
