Hey Guys,

I know this is going to be a little off topic from the usual excitement of New Eden and is related more to whats happening here on Earth, but I think that this should be known. This is a post about Joseph Kony, the Leader of the L.R.A (Lords Resistance Army) in Central Africa and the warcrimes he has done over the past 26 years that have been going unnoticed.

Invisible Children’s KONY 2012 campaign aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice. In this case, notoriety translates to public support. If people know about the crimes that Kony has been committing for 26 years, they will unite to stop him.

Before this gets moved to OOPE, people might want to read this about Visible Children, they're the ones behind the Kony 2012 thing

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

The OP is defiantly not lost,

This is taking over Facebook, Twitter, You tube and every social networking site global and it should also be recognized within EVE as well.

If you have not watched the video i suggest you should and also the Dev's and GM's to sticky the video and make it a news article.

This just in...while we all sit comfortably on computers & using phones etc (which the vast majority of parts for are made by exploitation overseas)...bad people are roaming around doing vile things, like they have been since the dawn of humanity !

Not that I am against the campaign, I fully support it (however the actual charity do not have my full support, after reading this -> http://visiblechildren.tumblr.com/post/18890947431/we-got-trouble . And a bit of research can show that some of the info in the video is misleading/false), but I do also find this campaign highly...hypocrtical? Ignorant? (cant think of the actual word P )...Just on the fact that it quickly seems to becomming a thing of, "oh, everyone else is supporting this, so I should!" rather than actually finding out about what they are supporting or campaigning against. In other words, its becomming more of a facebook 'fashion' statement rather than an actually strong backing, and so, sadley, it will probably die out after the planned event, if nor over the next few weeks.

I absolutely despise all these people who go from being a shallow self-centered douchebag one day, to seeing some terrible Youtube campaign for whatever the ****, and becoming an obnoxious activist the next day, pushing their cause with religious fervor and no thought of examining the cause they're pushing for.

All this, and then they go back to the same old ****, posting about their hair or their nails the next week. This Kony thing is riddled with them, so much so that I haven't even bothered finding out what it's about.

I'm going to try to break this as smoothly as I can:
the child soldiers problem will disappear when mankind either bites it or somehow manages to end all conflicts in the world.

in all honesty, the first is more easy to happen than the second.

In all mankind's history, there were always children fighting in conflicts as soldiers. Unfortunately as it may, nowaday's example is just given more spotlight because of the massification of information.

I'm all for the arrest of horrible people, but this looks more like a US psi-op to me (ah! tinfoil hat time!).

and within reading 20 posts on ccn about the same topic it spiraled into an anti-obama anti-american anti-conservative anti-christan anti-jew anti-muslim anti-human garbage depot.

Overall those people cant get along I say let them keep killing each other. Less to deal with in the long run as thier punishment for not being functional people at all.
