That trailer really is below standard, coming from Ubisoft. If there ever was anything landing smack in the middle of uncanny valley, this is it.

The animations are sloppy. Like when he pulls the axe from the dead guy he arcs his arm greatly as if its hard to pull out. However his body shows no visible resistance coming from the axe as he starts pulling, it just slides out .
The snow bends like a pillow rather than leaving a hole when the wolf steps in it.
None of the branches bend when he steps on them.
The bow string is on his bow is curvy rather than tight across the chest.
The general look like something out of 1998. His hair/wig seems to be papermache, the lip synching is loose.
The running soldiers all have inanimate faces, just a standard expression. Totally dead.
It seems no subsurface shaders have been used, making anything not solid (hair, skin snow) seem really akward.

Well, that's a pile of horse manure.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

Of course, being a "stupid, ignorant American" I have no issues with it being set in the American revolution, but I have to agree with the subpar animation. It's not a release trailer though, only a reveal trailer, so i'm giving them the benefit if the doubt. However I take issue with Ubisoft's stupid DRM methods, so i'm waiting till it's on sale used and buying it then.
