If we were not meant to eat meat, we would not have cutting teeth and digestive systems designed to break down said meats.

Vegetarians are not natural, so to speak.

A vegetarian would die of malnutrition if it were not for the heavy import of very specific foods which are key to the diet and otherwise not found in the vast majority of said vegetarian's habitat. Meanwhile, a meat eater such as myself can go outside, trap a squirrel, and eat lunch.

You can't even try and argue that people should not eat meat based on evolution, because it would not work in a natural setting. Thus, vegans and vegetarians are "wrong" about the vast majority of their arguments.

They claim you lose a ton of weight by going vegetarian - why do you think that is? Because you are effectively starving your body. You can lose just as much weight just as fast by eating less of everything. The problem with a vegetarian diet is that it is difficult to over eat, because plants have a ton less energy contained within them by comparison. Hell, lettuce is NEGATIVE calories. It requires more energy to digest than you obtain from the stuff.

TLDR:
Left to their own devices, most vegetarians would starve very quickly. A system of import/export bringing specific foodstuffs around the world is required in order to attempt to create a balanced diet. This could never work "in the wild" so to speak - At least, not for a human. How do you plan on getting that very specific nutrient from a very specific plant that is only found hundreds or thousands of miles away? Something readily available in meat.

When was the last time you ever heard of a whole culture being vegetarian? Never. Humans have always existed with a mixed diet.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooossshhhh

Did you even read the thread?

Sure did.

Derailing this thing in a hurry though.

You try far too hard to try and save face. Especially when you wrote so much originally to just "derail" the thread.

Cows are vegetarian. Cows are also tasty.

Therefore...

Eat the tasty vegetarians?

That is one hell of a mullet.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that this thread and a thread about zombies are the top 2 on OOPE's list today?

If vegetarians like animals so much, why do they eat all of their food?

What really gets me are those eggs that comes from "vegatarian chickens". I have my own chickens and denying them the bugs and worms they need as part of an overall diet is very hard on a chicken. I also have geese who eat only a vegetarian diet and their eggs are worthless.

As for the meat versus vegetable diet, the genie is out of the bottle. More and more the grain-based diet is starting to look like part of the enslavement system we call civilization. I have seen firsthand that primal diets cure diabetes (The RL "Harkonnen Heart Plug "without my insulin I will die" crap that we are told is supposed to "just happen") and allergies as well as eliminate fungal infections in the blood and tissues that can cause anything from sour stomach to heart attached.

Of course people will stupidly call it "atkins" or "all meat" when clearly there are plenty of greens and nuts involved. But then, those are probably the same people who think a Prius is saving the world with a small "carbon footprint" when in fact the energy required to make one has a larger footprint than if you took an old muscle car from 1970 and overhauled it with electronic ignition and throttle body injection (roughly 2-3K in parts and labor or about $900 if you do it yourself including the new rings and gaskets).

It's funny how doing simple research reveals the truth. But then that's way too hard for a lot of people, and that's why the human race is a long tale of enslavement, tyranny, and stupidity.

If my eyes were on the side of my head, I might be inclinded to eat only plants.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt
