Anyone going forever alone to fanfest?

So it turns out that the group i usually hang with on fanfest is most probably not going this year, I cant handle being there alone and im wondering if there is anyone else in the same situation who would like to meet up and plan stuff together to make this more enjoyable etc.

Fanfest is awesome in groups and I want to try and not be "that guy" who walks up to a group of people and tags along with them everywhere.

Anyway hope to see you guys there.

You should keep an eye out for player meets on the run up - like the tweetfleet one. This would be a good way to meet other players before the main event kicks off :)

If you don't know what the #tweetfleet is, you're missing out.

But to answer your question, the #tweetfleet is basically all the EVE players that tweet anything about EVE on twitter. We're having a meet the day before Fanfest. Details are in the link that CCP Affinity posted.

Even if you're not one of us, come along anyway. At the very least, you'll have good company. At the best, you'll become one of us.

we (hubby and I) will be out there for a bit before fanfest actually begins.

Ive added ccp afinity and will keep an eye on where you guys will be, we also want to meet some other eve players :) this will be our third time but not really met that many :P

Forever alone? Wrong attitude for attending a fanfest imo.

There are many other people traveling alone who also would like to do something with other people, it's just like freighter ganking in highsec, find those and not people already in NPC. It is human behavor to brand/group with other people or affilitate themself with others using common ground. There are plenty of people on fanfest who maybe know 1-2 others but also looking to socialise, meet new people or discusse eve stuff.

I went alone last year and not a "social" guy.
Meet 3 random people I became friends with and found two people from old corp at that time and had a nice dinner at a local resturant talking corp stuff.

Just join on activities by ccp or best of all join a corp/alliance with other attendeees.
I'm also trying to arrange a internal alliance meet&Greet for Nulli Secunda, other people run similar "groups" you can join in on where people group based on common ground.

a trick is I'm norwegian so if i hear other norwegians i point that out as a conversation starter and ask what alliance they are in. Just find something you have in common with others as a starter, that should not be hard on a EVEONLINE fanfest gathering... (EVE) (if only picking up girls was this easy!....)

I am "that guy" accorrding to you who just goes with a group, yet that's what you really want and not be alone?

Sounds like a good scheme - I'll be flying in from Glasgow on the Tuesday and will make a point of meeting up at the Celtic Cross

Staying at the Fosshótel Barón if anyone wants to look me up for a few beers before Fanfest

Cool. Was hoping something like this would pop up.

I'll be arriving the morning of the 21st and then doing the Golden Circle tour. I'll meet y'all at the Celtic Cross after the tour ends. I'm staying at the CenterHotel Arnarhvoll, so I'm close.

When I finally do make an impact on this universe, it will reverberate across the entirety of it, and no one will be able to truthfully claim they don't know me. - -

hi fellas, just lost my wing man due to strict miltary exercise. So its solo for me !! Am staying at the city center hotel from wednesday. I hear most of you are meeting up at the celtic cross for a few so ill meet you there. if you would like to convo me before hand that be cool. well looks like i got to pack for rainy weather. see you all there.
