Faction Loot Drop Rate Change

In the last few days/weeks since the last major patch, I've noticed that regardless of having had several escalation plexes with numerous faction rats, in this case dread gurista, I have not seen a single piece of faction loot aside from ammo. Did the drop rate on faction loot change? I'm not whining about it, I'm just surprised and wondering if there was a secret nerf.

Well, i had an escalation yesterday that ended at the first step with nuthing in my hand. Nor the plex nor the first step of the escalation dropped anything...

Honestly, that last major patch did a lot of changes CCP either wont admit or simply just doesn't know about.

I am leaning more towards the fact that they simply have no idea. If you tell them they wont care or put it on the to do list (trashcan).

i.e. Blood Raiders can perma neut after that major patch. I never found documentation on that change, but it changed.

I had in excess of 12b drop 2 weeks ago over 5 rats.


That is the biggest and the only time i have ever had anything like that.


Its supposedly completely random and taken from a drop chart or something.


Keep grinding youll eventually find gold at the end of that rainbow.

And yet another mmo-stereotype: "Patch came out, drop rate nerfed! I killed 10 NPCs and I didn't get anything!"

While I don't dispute the possibility, the lack of evidence and proper statistical testing means you're just venting out steam and following your feelings.

Last night I did a Maze, got Rattlesnake BPC and the 23rd tier ope. Night before did a maze, got Pith X-type XL shield booster, Pith X-type Large Shield booster and 23rd tier. Same night did Fleet Staging point and got noting but the 22nd tier.

3 days ago I killed a Dread Gurista BS and got a DG Invul. Sometimes I go days with nothing, a couple times it was weeks or more.

Damn Random number generators!

Oh no, there was a patch and the next site I ran didn't drop any loot! Exploration is broken. Drop rates are nerfed. Everybody run around in circles screaming!

Seriously though, drop rates are fine. Any claims otherwise less than a month after the patch are instantly discounted because there's no way to gather a statistically significant data sample in so short a time.

Also, don't discount the faction ammo. My best drop from an escalation so far was from faction ammo (partially because I'm in highsec instead of exploring low/nullsec, partially because for some reason someone was offering 181k ISK per unit of Domination EMP S, 181M off of 1k S Projectile ammo Lol)

I did a check and there have been no significant changes to loot tables that I can find. Occasionally loot tables will be adjusted slightly, however, if there was a major change we would announce that for sure.

No, this was not a whine post, just curious as Ive also noticed that I see more 6/10's lately, which is good. Regardless, not 5 minutes after that post I had 2 billion in implants drop from two separate DG's.

i will admist ive got 14 complex's in the last week 4x 10/10's, 8 7/10s and 2 8/10s, and all ive gotten is the OPE, not good numbers to go by, but still nothing but OPE in 14 plex's

Meanwhile some guy in Exploration chat yesterday got 3 Nanite Controls in 1h 30min, from Chemical Labs, that's almost 1bn ISK in 90 minutes from the "crappy" combat Ladar sites. What exactly did you do to **** off Lady Luck so much?

Yeah exploration is clearly broken!!!
i only made about 3b yesterday, and the last exploration chain i did lead me into 0 and the final dread guristas rat droped nothing!!!!!! clearly it was my right to get anothe pithum a-type booster after the 5 nanite controll books i got before (@ Mio: i got 2 more later on haha )
