Transactions don't show up under the "journal" - they show up under "transactions" in your wallet. The journal simply shows you when and how much money leaves and enters your wallet. Go to the transactions section of the wallet - it should tell you where your item is. If the item doesn't show up after downtime then file a reimbursement petition.

You placed a buy order and won't get any items until a player comes along and sells one to you.

The money sits in escrow until someone sells something to you or the order expires. If the order expires allow for an extra daily down time to return the ISK back to you from escrow.

You need to click the "Load" button in the Transactions window to get it to show transactions. The transaction window will let you browse up to 1000 or the past weeks transactions (whichever is greater). If the transaction window shows literally nothing, you may need to clear your cache.

You said that the journal shows a Market Escrow row - try to find the transaction which matches this number.

Also, make sure you are looking inside of "My Wallet" and not "Corporation Wallet".

Finally, you can also try doing a search for the item in the "Assets" window - which should be the icon of a safe in your neocom.

[EDIT] still trying to think of things you may have missed:
Make sure that you aren't filtering out any results in the Transactions window - check the "Buy/sell" filter.
If you have bought and sold many things, you may have to click the arrow buttons to see further back in time.

There is a brokers fee attached to the escrow if that helps at all? The only thing that there is any proof of me purchasing anything is in my wallet, and it just shows market escrow and brokers fee. beyond that nothing else (filters for each thing checked) shows anything of use

Yes, that is the wallet journal. We are interested in the transaction log, which you claim is completely blank - which should not be possible. If the transaction log is completely blank, this would mean that you have *never* purchased *anything* off of the market - which is very unlikely.

If the transaction log is completely blank as you claim above, then you probably need to clear your cache. Alternatively you can use an API key to view the transaction log from the API server by using a 3rd party program like EVEmeep.

Here's an example:

You created buy order. You only pay Brokers Fee when making buy or sell order.

If you don't see your order anymore in Wallet -> Orders, then it has expired already. If nobody sold any item to you them you will get your ISK back at next downtime (excluding Brokers Fee which is not returned.)

If you want to buy directly, make sure to use Simple buy window, not Advanced. Advanced window is for making orders, not for buying directly.

Also, when you have set up a buy order, it could be possible you have set up that it can be fulfilled at range. This means you buy order is set up in station X in system Y. If you set up the range to say 5 jumps in the buy order, anybody who is in 5 jumps from system Y can sell the item to you. The item would be in the station they sold it to you (Station Z) and not in station X, you have to fetch it yourself.

In the Market window there's a tab called "my orders" that shows you what you've currently got tied up in escrow waiting for a seller, if anything.

In the Neocom there's a button called Assets that will show you where everything you currently own is sitting, anywhere in the galaxy, so if you accidentally bought something in a station you haven't been to yet, it'll show up there.

If you show a transaction and haven't got an unfilled order extant and haven't got any goods in assets in a weird place then i dunno what happened.
