How much have you spent on Eve?

I got curious and summed up all of the entries on my Eve transaction history, which came out to a staggering $512 over my whole Eve career. That subscription really adds up, and took me by surprise. It also made me happy because it was a power of two.

How much of your hard-earned real life ISK have you spent on Eve?

What, you are too lazy to power your rig by a pedal powered generator?

Slacker!

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

About 80€ in subscription fees over a little more than two years. Not much more than I would have spend on a single player game, but more than it was worth. Thank PLEX that Eve is free to play.

About $1020 over the course of 6.5 years.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I was looking at my contacts sheet the other day and realized I have trained 36 characters to at least 20M SP in my time in EVE.

I'm at eight accts right now (damn you Power of Two).

I've prolly spent a fair chunk of change over the years.

it matters not what is spent, what matters is the fun had and the memories we share.

D'awww...

Thinking of the total spent puts it into perspective, though. Is the amount of RL ISK you spent on it worth the amount of fun you've had? That's a definite "yes" from me.

nah not at all, if you are enjoying something you never worry about the cost.
my answer is a YES for me. you can't put a price on fun and memories.

if you find yourself thinking about costs in EVE and relating them to real life money then you should take a break and review why you are here. (not directed at the person i quoted)

3 accounts from 2003
4,5 account from 2004
6th account from 2006

3x8+2*7+1*6=44 year X 12 months = 528 months...
528 * 13 = WELP...

I have spent more than 7000 USD on EVE, in addition to a 2000 USD and a 3000 USD computer over the years.

damn,
Wonder how many hours I have spent on this ****** game....

Less than I have spent on alcohol while playing EVE.

Money well spent.
