Please help! Eve Online + Wine 1.4 + Ubuntu 11.10

Here are the specs of my gaming machine.

Quad Core AMD Phenom
8 GB of RAM
1 GB Dedicated RAM NVIDIA 9800GT
640 GB HDD

I have been trying to get eve to run but it just keeps crashing after I select my character and it starts loading in with the character selection loading box. "Entering Game as 'Dracos Belac'" It freezes there and gives me the following details with wine through the pdf link below.

Wine 1.4-rc6

NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 280.13)

Looks like a CQ problem to me. On character selection screen press esc and disable loading station environment.


You can re-enable it later but do not enter CQ or eve will crash.

Open your eyes. And awaken.

Guys thanks. Was having the same problem. Game loads right up now.

It took 5 days to get wine to work, but it friggen works!
