"Free"? 51 day trial?

Hey, I saw this method on the internet:

1) Send a buddy program invite to yourself or someone you know,
2) Give them PLEX or the money for the PLEX
3) Use the PLEX on the trial account and upgrade to a full account + 30 days
4) Receive a PLEX as a reward on your main account.
5) Sell the PLEX back on the market for virtually no net loss

Is this possible? If yes, is there anyone who's willing to help me do this? I'm really interested in getting this deal. Thx.

Here's the problem, if you run off with the PLEX, the sender is out a PLEX and gets nothing for it. So it'll typically only happen if there's someone that knows you IRL and can be sure that you're not running a scam. For instance, there's someone I know that I've actually offered to do that for so he can get into Eve, but I don't actually know you and have no way of knowing that you won't just take the PLEX and run.

So, yes, it works, but you won't find many people willing to take a 500M risk on a newb they don't know (who is quite possibly an alt just working on stealing a PLEX).

this, though I probably wouldn't even trust RL mates with 500m ISK...

Ah... I see... but is there anything I can do to insure them some trust? I don't know, like contacting over skype? A skype call? Any ideas?

nope, trust in eve is EARNED ... not given freely.

As above mentioned, not many people will give you a PLEX (500mil) with the possibility of you running away with it. All it does for the guy is they loose 500mil and possible genuine buddy invite for that month.

It's full of buddy invite offers, some even better then the other.

I also have an offer which involves 51 free days. I sent the buddy invite and once you subscribe you get the PLEX that I get as a reward. This means zero risks for me, and if you subscribe full benefit for the invitee.

I was invited to the game by a friend with this method, so it works. My acc is valid for 51 days and not trial.
Of course you need to trust the people who you give your .5B worth of plex.

I doubt it, PLEX is just like any other in-game item. Scamming for a GTC might be bannable, but PLEX is treated like any other item (I've seen lots of "I'll give you 450k ISK for a PLEX" contracts and stuff like that, lol).

Only 14 days is kinda too short, can't really decide to play or not to play on just 14 days. I do like Eve, just not sure if enough to pay for it.

I know, I know! But due to certain circumstances I want to use the 21 day trial now, and subscribe much later. (liek 3-4 months later).

Probably gonna subscribe the 21 trial if someone would be nice enough to send it to me. And if I wouldn't that would me I won't play EVE at all.


This acc will go inactive in a few hours and I can't do all the stuff I want in 14 days and I only have 3 weeks left till those "circumstances".

Scamming using the buddy invite system however is an illegal offense and CCP will lay the banhammer on you.

Still means that all buddy invite offers and questions are restricted to the forum linked before. CCP didn't want to clutter the forums by buddy invite offers and requests so they made 1 massive sticky post for it.

This is possible and you can just send the invite to your own email address. However, it takes 2 PLEX to convert a trial account into a full account. Only for the first 30 paid days, of course. So it's more like "you pay 2 PLEX and get 1 back".

Not really sure where you got the info that two PLEX would be needed, but I subbed an alt into a full account with just one PLEX back in... I think this past December. So unless there happened to be some deal going on when I did that only one PLEX should be needed to sub a trial account.

But as has been said, yes it's possible to sub a 21-day trial with PLEX and get a PLEX back as a reward for the inviter.

I had someone try this little number on me just a week or so ago, they requested a buddy invite, started the trial then tried to convince me to give them a PLEX to sub their account with. I don't think so, I'm not handing over a PLEX to someone I don't know, for all I know it could be someone's alt out to scam me, which isn't going to happen.

And it only takes 1 PLEX to sub an account, I created another account and used a single PLEX to upgrade it myself just a month or so ago.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...
