Concord needs 2 innovations

2 innovations for Concord:
1. Actually help me when I'm getting attacked by pirates. Currently they stand there and watch as I'm attacked, even when they're in the same area
2. Make them tough but not invincible: currently it is almost impossible to beat them. They are too strong

1) They do help you :S are you stealing stuff out of cans or something?

2) People found a way to beat concord once, it didn't end well.

1) CONCORD exists to provide consequences for aggression, not to prevent it.
2) It is not "almost impossible" to beat them, it is impossible - anything that allows CONCORD to be evaded is considered an exploit and is met with bans. If CONCORD was made beatable, everyone would just use the ship setup or gang composition needed to tank/evade/kill them.

1- You shouldn't steal stuff from cans that aren't yours, that will make CONCORD point and laugh as you lose your battleship to that crappy frigate on the station.

2- They could be tanked once, I think it was Yulai, the central market Hub at that time that was overrun and taken over by pirates capable of tanking CONCORD. They ganked everybody attempting to leave, as Warp to Zero didn't exhist at that point. CCP buffed CONCORD to God mode, said the Jovians did it and told everyone that if they try to avoid the popo's they'll be ban hammered.

It would be nice that you actually tried to learn about Eve's rich history before suggesting ideas that will only end in disaster.

Next I think you should ask if Capitals can be allowed in Highsec. Roll

This would be Zombie Inc. using the lack of propagation of the Concord flagging through remote assistance (ie rep) modules at the time (march '04). I don't know if the concord vessels were made tougher or not, but the almost immediate change was the flagging being passed along to the one assisting. From memory they got in trouble because they didn't stop when a GM told them to rather than because they were "beating" Concord.


As the others have said, Concord is about consequences, not about justice or fairness or "policing" or anything like that.

Curiosity killed the Kata... ... but being immortal he wasn't too worried about keeping a count.

Zombie, m0o, and others have all done the "tank CONCORD, lol at how many people they could kill" thing. Though, yeah, I think Zombie was the "last straw" that made CCP switch CONCORD from mostly tankable to totalhelldeath.

The concord that shows up to deal with you have pod jammers.

Concord wthout thee jamemrs are pertty pathetic and easy to deal with. Whole reason why the minmatar kicked thier asses.

One of the things that CCP has seem to have done with CONCORD is give them the ability to hit you for every effective hitpoint you have at once, thus instagibing you. Prior to this, it was possible for a Triage carrier to kill a CONCORD frigate before going down.

Oh, and CONCORD will ewar your missiles do death (as well as just shooting them), so don't use a Cerb to pirate in high-sec: you'll never hit with your remaining vollies.

Simon Risalo Is rith Concord is to slow and the Fire power is to slow CCP nids to fix this sow the act fast .
The Hige sec is not a pvp areia and i notes a lot off ganckers are making a lot off kiil befor the concord do eniy ting.

I tinck the CCP nids to make Concord stronger for 150% and if player has olyi -0.1 Security hi nids to be Blown up and poded isnt The Hige sec is no place for Pirats.

As has been said several times, highsec is safe enough. It certainly doesn't need to be made any safer.

There's not a lot of difference between the real police and concord - both are REACTIVE units. I can walk into a mall anywhere in the world and pull out a gun and shoot someone in the head; police are not there to stop that sort of thing and CANNOT stop that sort of thing generally. However, they do react to crimes committed, as does concord.

There's really no defense against ganking except to tank your ship, pay attention, and be smart - just like real life. Pay attention and be smart.



Note for the GMs: I'm not going to kill anyone, it's just an example.

Only improvements CONCORD needs is

1. Shooting pods when you enter highsec, cause EVE is harsh and you need to be reminded of that Pirate
2. Invalidate clone updates Twisted when GCC starts

Oh yes, EVE just got harsher. You want to run -10, throwing away ships with zero risk with a gank (cause throwing away means you don't care, like tossing trash out)....how would you feel if something more valuable was taking from you. Then instead of spending your day shooting nPC Hulks (mindless ******* tools fly these, they should ban these accounts and hulks removed!) as if they were level 4 battleships....maybe you would pick more valuable targets like freighters loaded with goods instead of easy risk free fluffing your KB with hulks (T2 ships whose only purpose is to just die) as if it takes any skill beyond hitting that Fkey tied to group weapons Roll

And destroyers would get a a minimum 21 days played (plus non-trial account status) to hop into like the reverse of the commander edition implant that only lasts 30 days, no more risk adverse 10-hour heroes flying cheap ships. You are going to have to invest heavily and risk more in this version of EVE. To bad it will never ******* happen Cry
