Forums are full with real good ideas. I support this.

The reality is: CCP can't deliver at a constant pace. They introduce something new, something else get broken. In the end they'll destroy the universe, I wonder who gets their stuff?

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

Launch Drone Keyboard shortcut, able to be mapped.

Alt+x > Launch Drone Group x (the group can be named, but the game will still see it as Drone Group 1)

Player name (# of drones in group) [EVE client group name]

Angle Cartel Light Drones (5) [Drone Group 1]

Hobgoblin II (5) [Drone Group 2]

Hammerhead II (3) [Drone Group 3]

LOL Acolyte (1) [Drone Group 4]

etc.

There has been some recent changes to overview locking system but I see those fixes inadequate as final solution.

Only known true and proper solution is as explained in todo list. It does require coordination between keyboard shortcut team and overview UI team, but it shouldn't be reason not to fix it properly.

Besides plenty of people have been complaining about shortcut key behaviour long before overview locking problem even existed. If it was fixed way back then already, most likely we didn't have the issues we have at the moment.

Will leave the items there up to the point they are fixed or other as good truly working solution has been found.

- make custom non-Fx/ctrl/alt shortcuts work when in some kind of window which is NOT a text input box. now if you clicked bookmark for example, you need to click out in space in order to use number/letter key shortcuts. this really sucks when you bound mid/low slots to 1-8 q-i keys which is a kind of logical thing to do.

Obvious visual things that need to be done eventually:

- V3 all the ships (now in the works)
- Visible missile launchers (now in the works)
- Customizable ships (now in the works)
- Visible ship damage
- Better ship deaths (gradual deaths for larger ships instead of SUDDEN EXISTENCE FAILURE, combine with above for massive immersion boon)
- Ship-specific wrecks (instead of the generic unidentifiable masses we currently get)
- Random hit locations (instead of hitting the same spot over, and over, and over, and over...)

Pipe dream: VISIBLE CREW MEMBERS. I want to see those buggers spilling out into space! Also, escape pods. Yeah, this ain't happenin' any time soon...


Anyways, I think if all of the above were accomplished, even the boring monotony of ratting could become a glorious spectacle as you behold your ship chipping away or catastrophically damaging enemy ships without looking at health bars, allowing you to witness the carnage as their hull is breached, sending hapless crew members spilling out into the void of space, doomed to die of exposure to vacuum, if not from the inevitable explosion of the ship itself.

I'd also love to be able to one day breach enemy communications and listen in as they scream in frustration and agony as my ship bores its way into their hull. As their fleets whittle down towards nothing, I would smile as I hear the remaining forces growing increasingly panicked as they realize their chances of survival have become equivalent to null and void.

As it is, however, the act of blowing up battleships is such a boring, pedestrian affair, with none of the humanity that an actual space battle would entail, as there are so many elements that would make it much clearer that you are decimating and slaughtering hundreds or thousands of people with every turret blast.

But I digress. This is kind of outside the scope of this thread, I know...

There is a solution for this already. Custom set the UI colors via the options menu so each character has a different color scheme.
It's not the perfect solution, but it does work.

1) Overhaul of Corporation Management interface
2) Increase Mining Drone yield and/or increase the Mining Drone bonus to Minmatar/Amarr T1 cruiser. Also, reduce the skill prerequisite for Retriver from Mining Barge 5 to lvl 4. There is too big a gap from Mining frigate to Barge for mining profession (raised by super smart new corp member - i'm currently considering if I should sell him)

Better tools on teaching new comers and older places, the Help system is ok but it needs a bit of cleaning up and upgrading with info and setting up to be better for new and old places to eve.

Need more and better starting agents that teach you the ropes a bit better some of them are ok but there are things missing that need to be teach to players when coming in to eve. Its not about making the gamer easier its about teaching players how to use the tools they have been given better.

The UI in general could also use an upgrade as well, things just feel a bit all over the place and could use the clean up. Also been able to change your UI would be rely nice too, moving things or removing things u never use ect, the little things add up a lot in eve.

Eve has been on the market for almost a decade. It has been constantly developed and added onto and taken away from the whole time....


The CCP to-do list is never ending and always changing. Its hard to sit here and define it... IMO

Good list, but I think this feature already exists, and is implemented better than a bar region.

Yea... it requires moving the bars to bottom manually unless they were "snapped" to the edge.

However if they changed it so, that double clicking the header bar would work like the old minimize function did (also move the bar to bottom), perhaps people would find that as workaround they could live with. Hard to tell really - there is always a change that someone actually likes the current double click feature and would be sad seeing it go away.

Personally I can say that I liked all windows minimizing to bottom bar, as I always had "work in progress"-windows open there and those also reminded me about unfinished tasks. Now days I don't even want to try guess from neocom icons which one is in "minimized" and which "closed" state.

Also if there was narrow horizontal bar, they could fit the date and character name back without any problem.

CCP should take time to think over the neocom project, write devblog about the changes they propose and see how it will be received. It is not totally junk - it is just unfinished and some features are poorly designed with eye candy on top and usability on bottom.

My list is more or less guide line of the lost features and about stuff people have been talking about in forums. There may be additional ways to provide the same benefits and functionality. With some communication and effort the end product would be really much better.
