Later phases of Caldari ships look WORSE than earlier phases

Personal grievance of mine is that beginning phases Caldari ships look nice. Yet all the later phases seem to look WORSE. For example, the Scorpion looks cool, yet the Widow (a later phase of the same ship) has burnt red and seems to look WORSE.

Another example is the Merlin. The Merlin looks great, but the Hawk looks terrible with dull colors and burnt orange.

Why do all the LATER phases look WORSE than the earlier phases?

Lol you both are the trolls. If you think burnt orange, burnt red, and brown are nice colors on a ship then IMO you have no taste at all.

I think this is an opinionated thread with no signifigant value. Perhaps if you had a solution to the issue rather than ranting about it, you would have some grounds to stand on. Personally, I think that all ships in the game should have a costumizable paint feature which could be done at any station with a repair facility. Or if custom is too much, have set areas of ships (ie; Bridge, engines, mics., ect) capable of being painted certain set colors (red, blue, black, white, ect.) That is a good solution.

Well what I'm advocating is pretty clear. Either let players customize aspects of their ships (such as colors) or make the later phases of the Caldari ships look much more like the earlier phases.

I did like the widow.

Now the concept of painting it white and pink has been placed before me. Holy crap yes.

Oh so you want custom paint, I believe that this is already being worked on and has been in the production phase for about 2 YEARS NOW, (see what I did there) this will be a feature very soon.

I see no value of this thread, its in the wrong forum, its been discussed a lot already and it's being put into the game as we speak.

And this thread does have value. It shows that the upper phases of the Caldari ships need to look better or give people the option to make them look better.

I take it by 'latter phases' you mean tech 2?

You are also wrong, the widow is awesome - badass even - and the burn orange/gold thing is also pretty cool. Or at least that's my OPINION, you are entilteled to your own ofc, but don't assume others share it, and don't get all self righteous and arrogant about how you are right and everyone else is wrong.

Also; red, black and burnt orange as a combination have been arount since art first began - literally - so they are not going anywhere fast Big smile

I personally think the scheme for the T2 Caldari stuff is amazing. Not pretty, but looks perfect.

I actually preferred the Revelations II appearance of Caldari Frigates because of the red stripes.
