These mission runners have all but forgotten that at one time, level 4 missions didn't even exist; now simply expecting that amount of income as a basic right and entitlement. They will then complain that they have reached the end game - blaming CCP for the lack of new content and the vacancy of that special feeling of "wonder" we all receive when start Eve for the first time and see the possibilities stretched out before us. This type of player cannot take responsibility for himself - and though understands the problem with hyper-inflation and hitting the end game - only wishes a remedy in the form of more and better stuff for him to play with, forever. This is not a problem particular to the high-sec mission runner however, I find it in many of us, especially the newbies that join Eve and immediately lament they will not be flying a titan at the end of the week; instead of forming a group with like-minded newbies and experiencing the game together from the start - enjoying it as it unfolds as many of us did. I believe we should each take responsibility for our own Eve experience, not blame others or CCP for it.

I find this sense of wonder and exploration is central to Eve, and many times find myself pining for the days of old, when finding Eve for the first time. The wonder of being a newbie in a frigate mining Omber in Sobeseki. It is why I felt the need to make this thread last week exploring the idea of resetting Eve. See for yourself the animosity in the replies.

From that day until this, I fight for responsibility in Eve. Responsibility from each of us as players to tolerate a re-shuffle of in-game value. Also from CCP who must take control of the game before it slowly stagnates itself to death; and who must not be frightened by absurd threats of multi-account rage-quitting from entitled high-seccers whose life revolves around how quickly they can tractor-beam and salvage all the wrecks of a dead space area. This is an impassioned plea for reason and responsibility from us, the Eve-loving player base.

Let's bring back the magic of Eve.

Bringing back the magic ? If were more honest corp in EVE, without primary goal to ripoff the young players and CEO's with something other on their mind than fill thei sh**ty ego - maybe the magic will return.

Huh?..Eve was introduced in 2003...

Maybe he was thinking of the only game greater than eve.. Ultima Online that launched in 1997.

Very similar games (well before Trammel).

And when I say 'most players' I am not referring to nullsec or wormhole players, who have dared the dangers of Eve to acquire the shinyest riches. I refer to the zero-risk, high-sec mission runner.

Welcome to 2007/8, when everyone had a highsec L4 alt.

In my opinion the main problem is that right now everyone can make osbcene amount of isk without taking risk, and if you are not doing the same is almost imposible to compete because everyone and his mother has T3´s, pirate faction cruisers, 2b pods and a cyno ready to deploy hell over your head.

I'd just like to say:

Tech mooooons...

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.

Well, how's this for a solution: A one-way trip through the EVE gate, and the largest ship you can take with you is a battleship.

Once on the other side, you would encounter a completely lawless expanse of space, and ISK would have no value, and a new currency would be present. There could be mechanics allowing people to set up havens of safe space on the other side, or it can remain lawless. There can be one single station in the beginning system where people can dock up, sell, manufacture, etc.

Basically, the old EVE remains, but on the other side of the EVE gate lies a truly sandbox environment.

Perhaps CCO should overhaul the security system. Create noob space where noobs can try out the game until they leave or reach a certain number of SP. But once they leave, or reach a certain SP they cannot come back. If they decide to live their lives out in high sec doin zero risk jobs they shouldn't be able to do it in a marauder or BS or tengu. Ships like that shouldn't have a place in High Sec nor do large mining barges or orcas.

Wait wait, so you're saying that only hi-sec bears will cry if the game gets reset? And hi-sec bears are to be blamed for the proliferation of supers as well?

Basically its all hi-sec bear's fault that the game is dying and will be the one crying the loudest if anything were to change?

Look at you, embarrassing yourself on the internet.

If only Eve Online's subscription base wasn't continuing to steadily climb. The fact that it even continued climbing during Incarna shows you haven't got a clue.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

1) players get bored and leave the game all the time, removing some of the "end game" cap

2) bigger sinks for ISKhave been introduced with logoffski changes. More could be done

When you play a game for a decade the sense of wonder tends to evaporate. Maybe complain less. Maybe instead of being the crotchety old grandpa longing for days of old and cussing the li'l rascals and their fancy gadgets you do something proactive.

Also, the sense of wonder for me was still in the game when I joined mid 08. It still is when I try something new.

I certainly feel like I don't have anything to aspire toward. Supercapitals bore me, and it seems like my 125 million SP or so doesn't count for much. I'd like for ships to be added exclusively restricted to vets like me. Maybe tiered for 100m, 120m, 140m SP etc etc, and growing increasingly overpowered with each step. Veterans deserve rewards!

But... he is doing something proactive. He's trying to get more endgame content added.
