First and foremost, I had an amazing post wrote up but when I hit post, the forums ate it. I will write the post again, and post it on my blog (The Korvus Kut).

Basically, I want to run a Hulkageddon event. Ive seen many people interested in having one, but none of them either want to, have the time to, or have the trust of the playerbase to do so. I have two of those three things, and the last I can get by doing this. I know you may feel this is just another scam attempt, however, I feel being honorable provides more recognition than being "just another scammer".

I am not asking for your donations of ISK, ships or modules right now, but I am asking for you to believe and hope there are pilots who want to do things like this for the benefit of the playerbase instead of themselves. Well, for me, I want the recognition. Anyways...

I want to run this event. I need the backing of many players and the assistance in ISK, ships, and modules to make this a successful Hulkageddon. I have plans for rewards as well as a "Gankers Insurance" program to offset the concord stealing your insurance for ganking in hisec. Like I mentioned above, I had a nice post going, but the forums ate it. I will re-write it and post on my blog at some point tonight.

So Im wanting to know who and how many backers I would have in doing an event like this. Theres no point in even collection donations unless Ive got the following to make it a success. Im looking for a legit event minus the scams.

Um...Rewards for killing as well as insurance payouts since ganking resulting in concord death doesnt give insurance payouts.

This is why you're not getting any funding from MD because you haven't written up anything to explain how the fund will be used or any other details. While I'm aware of how hulkageddon works, I would expect to at least hear something of more substance than what you have written in the OP.

I did see that you're planning on writing up something more, so I look forward to that. Consider me a potential funder.

As I said, Im not looking for funding right at this moment. This is to gauge the interest of people willing to fund and back the event hosted by me. When the time comes (when I get enough people interested in doing so) I will then post a fully detailed plan of insurance payouts, killboard links, and reward achievements.

Im not going to waste time fleshing out the details for all of you until there is sufficient interest in backing me running the event.

I said screw it and just posted my ideas for rules, rewards and payouts. Obviously with no donations made of any kind, I wont know what kind of rewards to give out for specific achievements. If amounts are too high or too low, please mention it. I just put what I felt was a fair amount.

This is obviously not a money making oppurtunity for anyone except the people destroying ships, but it will be fun imo.

1) First of all, investors want to GET money out of their business not GIVE money that will go poof.

2) ATM there is CCP Sreegsageddon who is wrecking more damage than a player driven event.

3) Then there's the chaps at Bat Country that do it better, more, for longer and don't ask any prize.

..So, you have no name, no support, not willing to type out an 'awesome' post twice to ensure your potential investors can see the best of what you have to bring to the table.

You want to ride the wave of others creation. You are copying the idea word for word. Why would an MD poster donate to your hack event when they could donate to the alpha and omega event?

Come up with something new! This is not yours, and you have no leg to stand on. You are not putting it on for the love of pvp or grief, but for the self admitted fame.

No one will get behind your fame monster.

What would be awesome, however, is an Indyageddon. Prizes award for number of Indy ships killed, most destroyed isk, most isk recovered from a kill, freighter kills!

This event would ride the blood thurst of the pvp and gank community, but separate itself from the established event by requiring a different set of tactics.

Well, I dont think I said it was original in any way, shape, or form. What I said is that Ive seen people say they want another hulkageddon but none were willing or able to step up to the plate due to one reason or another. I dont expect anything tbh, its just how EVE works.

I was very irritarted when the forums ate my post and I basically posted a quicker version on my blog that I linked in the OP. If you had taken a few minutes to look, you would have seen that I actually do have more rewarda and payouts for industrials, freighters, jump freighters and even captial ships that get caught mining.

Every single "no body" person starts somewhere. As I said, I dont care if people back me in doing this, I dont expect anything to come of this. However, how cool would it be if something did? I said **** it and put myself out there. Ive got a thick enough hide to not really care if I get flamed or if someone does it better than what I suggested year round. Personally, I dont like year round hulkageddon as some alliances and corps do, I prefer the world wide event for a few weeks that gives out amazing rewards and is talked about and anticipated for the next year.

Again, as I said, I dont expect anything to come of this, and I am gauging the interest of people willing to donate for an event like this without expecting anything in return on their investment except a fun event. Riding on the coattails of other peoples success?? I could give two ***** bout that, but I thank my predecessors for coming up with such a great idea and with their exit of the game, it opens spots for others to step in. Whether or not I get that privelage is slim, but I refuse to sit back and wonder "what if" when all it takes is a simple post with my ideas put out there.

This is EVE. Its a harsh and unforgiving world. I put myself out there and I dont expect anything to come of it. Yes, if it did, it would be an amazing ego boost to myself to be able to actually do something that becomes part of EVE history thats not a scam or attempt to ripoff people. If it doesnt get traction for me, Ive gained and lost nothing except a few minutes of my time.
