Jumping from system to system - Load Lag

Something ive noticed today after being in an incursion fleet for a couple of hours was the following:

I still kept the registry edit on the time sync described above, as i was too lazy to change it, so my computers clock was doing syncs normally every 15mins.
however it was the Eve Clock shown down at the neocom that was delayed behind. In particularly every hour i spent in game, the eve clock was loosing approx 1min+ from my pc clock. What was even more strange, was the fact that the payment from concord(after completing each inc site) was shown in my journal at my sync computers time.

So It was like wallet journal time entries = computers sync cloack time > Eve neocoms clock.

After about 4h of fleet, the eve clock was about 7mins behind wallet time entries and my computer clock(computer clock time was the same as time entries).I tried some jumps, no lag until i found a constellation gate. When i jumped through that gate, it took me around 7mins to load the grid

Im getting the same random loading spikes when entering and leaving various systems too. I lost a time bonus on a transport mission... 4 jumps in an interceptor on AP... Thats how long I had to wait for it to load after 2 of the 4 jumps, the other 2 loaded perfectly normally

I had no problems with this until last night where it started happening, and is continuing today.

Right now it looks like my game clock is about a minute and a half behind my system clock.

Strange that it didn't start affecting me until the last 12 hours or so.

I still have the problem after so many weeks.
The time delay seems to accumulate every minute.

And I just found out that the "time left" indicator in my EVE client is different from the one in my EVEMon.
I am quite worried if this lag thing affects my skill training....

I reset my BIOS and it seems to have fixed. Seeing no problems with server vs. local time sync at this point.

Skill training is completely on the server side so it should not be affected.

I did a little test earlier today, around 8am, and jumped 6 systems (a route I occasionally take).

Dodixie > Meves - 20 seconds... the time from old grid disapearing to the new grid beginning to load
Meves > Lirsautton - 53 seconds
Lirsautton > Ardallabier - no delay, normal jump
Ardallabier > Jel - 83 seconds
Jel > Egghelende - no delay, normal jump
Egghelende > Siseide - 90 seconds

Dont get me wrong, waiting is a pain but I dont mind sitting still for a minute or so, but the last 2 jumps were lowsec. I forget how long the jump cloak lasts, but I KNOW 90 seconds means I'm sitting 14km off a gate in lowsec with no cloak and no clue as to whats happening.

I can only imagine how much of an issue this is for people who are engaged in hi-sec wars, and null space PvP (etc). Do we get reimbursed for losses that are sustained because of this stupid and somewhat random issue?

Oh yea, this crap is affecting my Windows clock as well... after 8 hours of game time my windows time was 30 minutes slow...

I used my motherboard jumpers to reset CMOS and the issue is still here.
Any chance there is gonna be a fix on that tomorrow?

Will the Crucible 1.5 patch contain solutions that help alleviate this problem?

Yes, Crucible 1.5 will contain improvements to this problem. We don't know yet if they are sufficient, but we hope, that these will hide the problem as much, that you won't notice it while playing. We are still investigating possible software causes for this problem which might lead to better solutions after Crucible 1.5

[shameless plug] These improvements will be active in tomorrow's mass test on Singularity. Feel free to join the mass test, if you experience this problem on TQ and want to check it out. If you manage to gather logs and send these through a bugreport: Even better! [/shameless plug]

Been suffering from this issue for quite some time.

Have also, like others, noted the problem is worse when running multiple clients from one PC.
Also noted the issue occurs mainly on constellation and in particular regional gate jumps.

Hehe right now, my EVE clock is stuck a whopping 55 minutes off my Windows clock and counting- seems to have got stuck at 04:00. Shocked

Here's hoping you can come up with a fix - its a most unpleasant and game destroying bug!

The only thing I've noticed that even slightly relieves this issue is turning everything down.. or off

Adjusting visual settings to the performance option 'seems' to have aleviated the issue for me... the average pauses are closer to 5 - 10 secs, rarther than minutes

I have been reading the patch notes http://community.eveonline.com/updates/patchnotes.asp and am wondering where the improvements are relating to this as I can see nothing specificaly related to this issue.

This is indeed missing in the patch notes, as the real fix is still not made - but the values of the existing clock-sync are being changed, so that a basic check is done every 5 minutes (and more often if clock drift problems are detected) and we are now allowing to correct more than 2% of clock drift.

Seems to have been fixed in the latest patch.
