im looking to use a deimos or brutix, preferable deimos simply bc i have cruiser level 5

i am aware deimos hull is like 4x a brutix, but in your experience which one is more efficent for level 3 grinding?

thanks in advance

643 DPS, can tank 335 Serpentis damage. Very tight on PG, so maybe a faction repper or MWD may be handy. No TEs due to the fall-off bonus, but add one in if you like.

Overall, depends on if you have the isk and what level you have BC skill at

thanks for the fitting, this gives me a good direction to go about
i have the isk to afford and lose a deimos and several brutixs
also i have bc level 1, i dont feel like bringing it to 5 which is why i am more interested in deimos since i have gal cruiser at level 5 already

@lvl 5
393 dps, 546 alpha.
483 guristas tank.
cap stable.

Even without level 5 skills this is easy to run, cap stable or not. It will do enough dps for level 3's. And you could omni tank since this set up could practically tank some level 4's. Remove some tank for more dps if you like. Though most of it will come from drones anyways.

I have a respect for Grimpak's opinions. Even if he can be sarcastic or a bit snappy at times. The man knows his hybrids.

Something clever

Gotta say, I'm quite sick of pillocks like you. Seems to be so many in Eve. Guy asks A or B and you think the smart answer is C. MOST (key word) people ask a specific question because they have reasons for it.

No, I'm quite sure the OP knew what he was asking. An example earlier I asked a question between 1200mm and 1400mm arties and some smartass goes DERRRRP "Use AC's, problem solved" DERRRRP. Did that answer my question? No, no it didn't, and what makes him even more ******** is the fact I AM using AC. Did I mention ANYTHING to do with ACs? No, no I didn't. Did the OP mention anything to do with the myrm? no, no he didn't. This is the only game I've played out of all the mmo's where there's so many smartass think-they-know-it-alls who spurt out such crap that isn't even relevant to the question asked.

Good for you. The answer is still "get a Myrm", especially to the question the OP asked.

"i also have like no drone skills"

No, let's make it clear for the hideously thick ones who didn't actually read the OP: “in your experience which one is more efficent for level 3 grinding?”

The answer is: neither. They are both horribly inefficient for L3 grinding. With or without drone skills, the Myrm is better. Hell, with or without drone skills, the Ishtar that Goose99 is going on about is better (and since the OP is looking at a Diemost as an option, the Ishtar is a viable suggestion).

So, again, the problem here is that the OP is asking the wrong question. He is looking for two ships that are 100% unsuitable for the task he wants to use them for: L3s. Neither is “more efficient” — they both sit, neck and neck, at the faaaaar end of the "omgz, don't use those for that, are you insane?!” end of the spectrum.

Instead, the answer to the question is: get a Myrm (or, yes, an Ishtar… but you can't deck that one out with guns to compensate for poor drone skills to the same degree).

Or there's this:

[Brutix, shield mwd pve]
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II

10MN MicroWarpdrive II
Large Shield Extender II
Ballistic Deflection Field II
Heat Dissipation Field II

Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M

Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I

Hammerhead II x5

This even looks vaguely viable:

[Deimos, shield PvE]
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II
Tracking Enhancer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
Large Shield Extender II
Invulnerability Field II

Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
[empty high slot]
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M

Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I

Hammerhead II x5

But in the end, a Myrmidon is probably better for these purposes. Sorry, but that's how it is.

I did not believe additional fail can be applied to Diemost and Brutix. I was wrong.

This ^^ this ^^ and a side order of this^^ . I'd suggest a brutix until you get drone skills, then get a myrm.

You will find the Brutix (and indeed the Myrmidon) to be hugely more useful if you train Battlecruisers to 4. At level 1 you are getting only a tiny bonus to damage and repair amounts.

You will also need the Heavy Assault Ships skill to use a Deimos - what level do you have that skill at?

PS Battlecruisers is widely acknowledged as one of the best ship skills to get to level 5. I have never heard anyone complain that they wasted their skillpoints on BC 5.
