Forums tend to eat long posts, so copy them before posting or write them on a text file and just copy-paste them here.

Probably Big smile

The TL;DR is i fried my video card Thursday night and my old shiney GeForce 5200 does not support shader model 2. Is there a way to overclock/cheat/bypass the EVE installation? (CCP: please make a fracking HW test before downloading - it took me 3 hrs to download the client)

Right-click, select all, copy...when you've got enough text you'd chew your keyboard if it disappears...and be sure to do it before you hit "POST".

These forums are not used to well thought out post that consist of more than one or two sentences at most. So due to the rareness of such posts, the forums can't handle it.

No. The shader model is a hardware feature, not something you can simply add on. Get a newer graphics card. Sorry, bro.

my guess is that it has something to do with the SSL encryption timing out as you type it so the page has to refresh the connection before it can be sent. they probably can fix it, but it's likely more difficult than most people think it is.

Lazarus automatically saves your work in Internet text entry fields.

Alternatively, select all and CTRL+C before submitting. If the forum eats your post, you can simply paste it and try again.

On this forum, you can also hit your browser's Back button once or twice, and your text will (usually) still be intact.

@Xercodo - thanks for linky. Funny that the app can't find the FX 5200 I'm using.

CCP: your error msg is wrong. I had Shader Model 3 I was just short 512MB RAM :)
