Seriously, there are a lot of good goon posters but you are not one of them.

Noooo~ my badposting is revealed on the EVE-O forums, an internet goodposting site.

Are you suggesting that you are a good poster elsewhere but are just laying down in the dirt with the pigs now?

And there's nothing you can do about it :)

Thank you for the clarification guys. BlinkRoll

And I don't really have any intention of upsetting people who may have seen the Mittani in his pyjamas. That's far too personal a concern. Its also close to breakfast, so I will need to distract myself with a less stomach churning thought. BlinkTwisted

And yet I understood the incorrect spelling a lot faster than I understood what the hell riverini was saying.

It was entertaining.

But then again considering the theme was "communication" I found the stance by EvE Radio quite patronising and one sided. Whilst also certainly an interesting choice of candidate for Mittens to debate such a subject against. Especially when it's obvious that Riverini's first language is not English.

We are all just shocked by this revelation. Also, it was Riverini's idea and he picked who he wanted to debate.

Of course not, do you know another foreign language? would be willing to do a live interview through that language? and the guy on the other side of the table wasn't exactly the easiest of the opponents. but this was already a calculated risk, eve radio is more leaned towards the mittani, another calculated risk. On the other hand I enjoyed the interview, we both behaved in a pretty civil manner and in the end it was a pretty constructive one.

Again, I think most listened expected a battle of wits and vulgarities, but this was not in the best interests of the elections.

Well despite my opinion, seems Riverini saw it as time well spent, despite any perceived bias.

Sound Cloud LINKAGE for people to determine for themselves.

it doesn't matter if riverini thinks it was time well spent, literally half that interview seemed to go over his head

There is a scandal brewing that will blow t20 out of the water. I am hoping it breaks prior to elections. Then you will see......

It was a break down of language however not understanding imho. Those points your best adjudging with the candidate as I don't want to judge the difference between language barriers and capabilities.

If it makes you feel any better, I wont be voting for Riverini, nor am I his campaign manager.

And in fairness I think I remember in the candidacy critereon that English is the offical language for CSM duties so it's a salient point regarding communications.

Maybe I'm being too cynical but I just think it ironic about the theme of communication. Unless of course the entire purpose of the broadcast was simply to demonstrate problems with language barriers and CSM candidacy?

As for instance would the same problems arisen with a candidate talking about communication issues had their first language also been English?

So, what you're saying is that riverini is fine, it's just that his English is bad enough to make him come off as a giant aspie? It's not like I'm new to spanish accents.

It's a valid question about language I think. But I'm not in any way suggesting he is an aspie or has problems understanding issues as a result of that. In fact moreso simply being sympathetic that there may be meaning lost in the translation or in the process of having to do that.

There's loads lost in translation, which adds to the hilarity of it.

I'm just saying that there seems to be more to it than language barriers. (just listen to him introduce himself)

Hm, you raise a very relevant point.

There was a russian and then also a dutch(?) CSM thread here.

Heh. Goons. My, you're growing up ... and yet growing so little. Good luck, Mittens, but I won't be voting for you.

Whether or not you win the game matters not.  It's if you bought it.
