I have noticed that there is a Dev response to several threads here in general discussion.

The new blog also shows that you are finally (belatedly) listening directly to player demands.

So...

You are not yet fully reprieved, but you are definitely headed in the right direction!

The nerfs to supercaps will cause more super pilots to join the largest alliances who can properly "support" their deployment, further concentrating firepower/wealth in EVE. The end result will be fewer "fun" fights, and will hurt EVE in the long run.

Hear Hear. Good stuff CCP.

And also thanks to all the players and the CSM who have persisted in drawing the problems to CCP's attention.

If the good words in the dev posts and devblogs are bound by actions, EVE still has a long happy future.

Listen to what they do not what they say. Talk is cheap, and while I do like the current activity of the Devs it really doesn't mean much unless we start seeing results. Otherwise its just hot air(or in this case pixels).

I'd think of some kind of cheap shot to use at you, Zulu. But frankly, I hope that once the dust settles, CCP will be vindicated in their direction with Incarna.

P.S. When you guys release World of Darkness, I hope it won't be as halfassed as Incarna was initially, 'cause I'd like to make Twitards weep beautiful rivers of shining tears.

Shocking as it might be WoD is nothing like Twilight which I believe what you where trying to jest at. In all honesty WoD has a better chance of long term success then Dust will. Ofc that is if its done right and stays true to the WoD theme, but granted it would be more a niche game then mainstream.

That is fact. It's also been revealed that WoD will be a Roleplayer's game, where the rules are enforced according to White Wolf. Which means, proper naming, proper backgrounds, proper interaction...that kind of thing. It's not going to be a type of game that most EVE residents play on a regular basis.

Though I do expect some form of vampiric "goonswarm" appearing in WoD at some point, but even THEY would have to conform to roleplay rules. Simply calling themselves the "Vamp Goonswarm" or something to that effect, would elicit a response from the game masters. (Another way to look at it is that the GMs are, in D&D parlance, Dungeon Masters. They are the ones who determine who's breaking the rules, and ensure that the world is running according to the creators' design...)

So, running around and griefing humans as a Vampire would get you shot on sight by a Hunter played by a GM, if we want an example to illustrate. :p

Me, though, I'd like to play as a human vampire hunter. I mean, sh*t, look at my name!

Goons are in almost every game. At least goons in reference to SA members not just Eve Goons. Some of them are actually pretty chill and can and will conform to the rules. Though tbh I didn't realize WW was going to be so strict with their rules and policies, they need to realize this isn't tabletop they might need to chill out abit.

Not like I really care though, VTM:Bloodlines was cool and all but I prob won't play WoD anyways.

They will probably be flexible with some aspects of the rules, but the atmosphere is the most important part of the VTM/WoD franchise. If we have people running around in leetspeak all the time, there's going to be problems.

can you link to something that would support anything you have just written? you seem to be making some pretty strong assertions about a game that has only just had some of the first details announced?

I think an internet community called "Something Awful", and a group of Anarchs calling themselves "Goons" or "Goon Brood" would fit quiet well into the oWoD lore.

Never going to happen my friend there is reason while on almost every MMO the RP servers are never full. CCP's next projects are mass marketed, if you dream about another niche MMO you might want to wake up.

CCP intends this to be its next flagship project, and it wants numbers, not rules to chase away potential subs. There might me rules about names but that will be about the extent of it.

That's because the profanity filter prevents us from using common database lingo.
