single planet P3 production

i recently tried out PI again after a long time and even with command center upgrade lvl 4 i can t make a P3 single planet production like i was making with the old PI system.is it doable with ccu lvl 5 or am i doing something wrong?

The PI system has changed substatially since it was introduced. These days, even with max skills, one does not have enough PG to have sufficient downstream P0, P1 and P2 factories to keep a P3 production running full-time.

It can be done, but only at half or less efficency.

Current thinking is to have dedicated P2-P3 production planets where both P2's are imported, or a hybrid Extraction/Production planet, where one leg of P2 is produced, the other imported.

Having the same issue to Trying to make something P3 on the same planet but unable to do so. I have a weeks worth more of training to max out the command center and hope I am able to then. Otherwise ill be just mass producing P2 stuff as the highers don't seem worth the extra hassle for the isk it earns.

Yeah single planet p3 production doesn't really work in efficiency terms anymore. You can still do it if you have a planet with extremely high resource density(still doesn't work at 100%) or if you import at least 1 out of the 4 p2 components.

I wasn't around when PI was under the old system with no ECU's, but the way I create POS fuel is I extract the P0 things I need from various planets, and have them processed into P1 commodities before they are launched to the custom's office for pickup.

Then I have one one planet dedicated to Processing all these P1 commodities into the P2 and P3 things I need.

Don't see why you couldn't do it the same, pretty sure it wouldn't be too skill intensive. (I have V's in both interplanetary Consolidation and Command Center Upgrades, though I'm making 4 different commodities with one character, whereas your only making one en mass)

95% of the players are loving EVE, the other 5%? On the forums.
