This is a very dangerous thing to have around!!!! Bet it's wonderful. If you try it, let me know.

MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to share!)

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

lol yeah this is some serious stuff. Personally I have not tried it but my friends have and it makes the brim of your mug like a mushroom if you do it just right. The best thing to even have a foot away from you and so easy to make!!! ^^

Vixie just throws in hot coca packet, an egg, some warmed ice cream, stir and throw it in a microwave and call it done.

So basically a kladdkaka-in-a-cup then? Very well, I'm game. Not really at home in the kitchen, but every so often I get inspired...

fake edit: (are they still fashionable? Being kind of old school I have no idea)

Tried it (with some modifications, see below), turned out far dryer than I expected. Still, not bad, not bad at all. Will probably tweak the ratios a bit next time, or maybe the reason it "failed" was that I got the ratios wrong to begin with. But I suspect I didn't since you imply that it's actually possible to remove it from the cup more or less intact.

Since I hate milk and never have any I substituted that and the oil with butter and what was left in the coffee pot from breakfast (approximately the same amount of fat and water). After all, coffee can do wonders for this kind of thing. Besides, making do with what you've got and simply mucking about is half the fun until especially if something explodes. Sadly, nothing did. (this time)

A little serving tip is to sprinkle some peanuts on top (or maybe you could add them to the mix, but I'm not sure how well they would fare in the nuker). Chocolaty cake and salted peanuts is divine.

It simply never occurred to me that you could make this stuff straight in a coffee cup. Certainly makes things lot less messy, and I don't have to bother with the oven, so hat's off to you Sir/Madam. Big smile

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a sugar rush to come down from. Shocked

Drop a few popcorn kernels in that mix and see if it'll pop.
Change in texture ought to be interesting ... heh.
