Little over 4 and half years of playing Eve-Online. I never really expect to play another game longer than 4 years after quitting Ragnarok Online. Keep it up CCP. May there be more good times over the bad times for the next 100m SP more. :)

A small brief of my experience in Eve-Online after 100m SP.

I still remember my very first killmail and at the same time first blood in a empire war dec, 400+ kills in a single month as a raptor pilot (after training interceptors) as my first t2 ship, first alt (and still the only alt) 2ish years ago, my first participation of the alliance tournament, my first fully t2 fit vultures and many more memories.

I had 3 long term goals set when I first logged in Eve-Online. One was to be a great support character. Be it a logi pilot, commandship booster pilot, carrier pilot, etc. Second goal was to be a great commandship pilot, which I can fly all CS class. And finally, to be a CEO in two years, but I scrapped this goal and replaced it with max leadership skills (which I recently completed it 3-4 months ago).

All goals are obtained and I have two new goals. One is to win Alliance Tournament with my Corp and Alliance, second is be the best frigate and cruiser pilot. Both are not easy to get, but I will obtain these goals one way or another!

Special note to CCP

I did long ago decided to keep playing your game until you guys go bankrupt or until Eve is shut down. I was pretty close to quit when I read Hilmar's email. Not only it shows that the company went off track, but the CEO did as well. I felt the company was becoming to be greedy, like Activision. Won't say EA, because no company is as terribad (should be a new word for this company) as EA.

I decided to give it time and chance, and I'm glad I did. The latest expansion, Crucible, CCP have shown me that the company is getting back on track and I hope you guys stay on track. Don't ever make the same mistake. I know generating profit is the #1 reason for making this game, which I can sort of tolerate your in-game store Aurum, but always provide a quality product improvements. Keep up listening to your players, you guys are the one of the very few, or maybe the only gaming company I know that keeps close contact to players and don't lose this perk you have.

Well, back to homework I go :)

Not sure why i read this. But your goals are almost the same as mine. However, it is really hard to get started when none of your RL friends play. (at least it is for me) Also homework on a Thursday night is for chumps. Smile

I have more space likes than you.

As soon as OP said "A small brief experience..." I knew this was gonna turn into another bad Oscar acceptance speech

Congratulations, NeoShocker.

A vet who isn't bitter is the best kind of vet.

You seem to be a rarity.

I actually got two post worth of text typed down (I think, dunno how many words I typed in) on my tablet regarding my time in Eve-O. If you're really interested, I'll post it down here. My first post is more of TL;DR version.

Yeah, I always look at a positive way and/or figure out why. There are few companies I really admire. CCP is on the 2nd on top of my list, first is Valve.

When reaching 100m SP after 4,5 years you must do something HORRIBLY good, at least a lot better than i do.

My main is 3 years old and reached 45m SP. "He" had maxed out learning skills before removal. "He" has +4 implants. "He" must be a dumba** for skilling so slow.

Can you please enlighten me what i´m doing wrong?Shocked

Grats on reach 100mil, its an exclusive club of players that sit back and judge the newbs and talk about how the plex vs. isk availability and trade effects us.

You're probably not optimising your attributes. I've managed to get 76m SP in 4 years, with 1 of those without implants by making sure my attributes are always best for my training goal. Set a yearly goal, sort out your attributes with the respec, profit.

Also another trick is if you're a PVP character, have a +5 jump clone and when you know you're not going to play for at least 24 hours, jump to it.

Yes you can switch your attributes at least yearly and with EveMon you can actually make plans that take those attribute switches into account. Then, for example, you switch to Perception/Memory and train only Gunnery, Missile and Spaceship Command skills with the respective attribute bonus for a year. - Of course this isn't really a fun way of training, if you want to train something else in between. I decided for Perception/Willpower some years ago and I just stick to that, even if I want to train other things as well, because there are always skills from those said categories in my queue.

Then again, I still haven't reached 100m SP myself (not subscribed the whole time) and doing that within 4.5 years is quite an impressive achievement! Congratz OP!

Grats on the dedication, I've let my account lapse here for a few months so I'm around in the mid 50 mil SP after 3 years. I also played Ragnarok Online... on iRO Loki. God the grind was terrible.

i Was a CEO at 6 weeks old of a corp of 40 so SP is no barrier to this.

When i asked for advice on this forum the only reply i remember was

"put a gun to your head right now". They were so right.

Its a miles stone that you dont ever need to reach

Congrats on the 100 mill mark
