EVE In Windowed Mode Question

I'm running EVE on a new (late 2011) 15" MacBook Pro in windowed mode at 1280 x 800 resolution. I was previously on a 13" MacBook where windowed wasn't an option without switchres adding a new resolution so this is a nice treat.

My question has to due do with how the screen behaves when I load eve. After the EVE splash screen loads and before the login page appears, the whole screen flashes between what I'm viewing and an all blue screen before finally landing on the login page. So, does anyone what this is and is it harmful for the screen and/or video card etc.? Not much of a tech guy so hopefully this description works.

If you run in windowed mode, it will go to full screen and then swap to windowed.

You can do the same exact thing in game by pressing cmd-enter to swap from full screen to windowed and back

It shouldn't hurt anything and it happens to everyone running in windowed mode

Appreciate the input. I do love the windowed mode and not having to alt-tab to Jabber etc.
