Standings issue re: POS setup

So my alt just started a corporation in order to set up a POS in hisec, but I've encountered a problem with the corporation's standings. My alt is the CEO and only member of the corporation, and the alt has a particular faction standing of 6.36. However, it has now been 2 downtimes, and all corporation standings are still at 0.0 (no matter if I view them with the alt or another character). I read somewhere that you need to do a storyline mission to kickstart the standings movement, so I did that yesterday. Still nothing today. I was under the impression that the corporation standing would move about 25% per day, but maybe I have everything all wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC it takes a week for standings to kick in for a newly created corporation. After that they are updated daily.

Otherwise - clear the cache (standings not displaying properly because of cache issues is a known problem)

(NB: Corp standings no longer drift at all they are just the average of all applicable members)

I believe with recent updates the movement is now fully updated at down time. but new corp members do not count until they have been with the corp for at least 7 days. This should not factor into founding a new corp but that may have changed.

Also corp standings are only affected by base standings not effective standings as modified by your skills. If your corp standings are still 0.0 then this is obviously not your issue but I mention it as It caught me off guard having to do a little more grinding taking my effective faction up over 6.0 just to get base standings up over 5.0.

Standings are based on the combined (pre-skills) average of all pilots who have been in a corporation for 7 days or longer, and who have non-null standings. Because you just started the corp, no one has been in the corp for the requisite 7 days.

What's nice about this is once you set up the POS, and start bringing people in, you have a week to still set up additional towers before you start lose the ability to anchor them (assuming their faction drags the corp's down below 5.00)

You should run at least one (1) storyline to "kick" the standings into working (not always necessary, but blitzing 17 L1 missions takes like an hour).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Just did this recently myself, and it's 7 downtimes since the corp was created. No need to kickstart with storyline missions, corp standings are adjusted at downtime, so you just have to wait.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

It has now been 8 downtimes and it still shows that everybody is neutral toward the corporation? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Actually, it's been only 7 downtimes (8 days total). Guess I'll wait one more day...

Sometimes after 7 days you also need to flush your cache for the standings to update... or complete a storyline to force a standing update, but flushing the cache is easier.

Thanks for the great advice, Tau. I cleared the cache and VOILA.... standings!
