I've used 800's and 1400 arties in missions. Both work well but in different ways.

If you're using 1400's you definitely want to have multiple groups as you will find that killing frigates takes forever if you are waiting for an entire group to cycle before you can pop the next.

800's are great for any missions where you either start close or can get close to the rats quickly. They just seem to eat up the rats with astounding ease. Clearly being closer in is the key - if the rats are at range then you will be under-performing 1400's or relying on expensive Barrage L to get the job done.

About the CCC rigs, from what I've read on the topic CCC is better and not that much more expensive if you are planning on making them yourself from salvage or just on not loosing the ship. I loose 50dps (60 at allV) sustained tank using 3 CDCS instead of the 3 CCCs not to mention increased sig from 460 to 556.

Sp plays into which would be better for an individual player.

With an ab and 2 hardeners running you will be cap stable without the CCCs (and good skills). With the booster on you will not be cap stable unless you really gut your fit, or spend a ton on a expensive booster. Expensive mods on a BS make you a juicy target, even more so now with the 3rd tier BCs. Once your cap gets low the CCCs won't add much to your ship at all.

On the other hand, CDCSs will always reduce the cost of your shield booster by a significant amount. It also will allow a undersized (medium) cap booster to support your tank until you run out of cap charges; something I have never had happen, and I only carry a few.

I would recommend CCCs for a lower sp player if he needed them to get cap stable with his hardeners and ab running. Otherwise I would recommend CDCSs.
