I need a goon pro ganker's advice.

I've made two posts on the general discussion forum tonight, but the asshats there have A.D.D. and throw around Eve meme's and acronyms like midgets at a strong man party.

Here is my situation very concisely.

My home system is over run with bots. (0.9 sec)

I want to gank them. (They are in tanked hulks, mainly invulnerability field II's, with a couple more shield resist mods.)

I am currently training up two ganking alts.

My brother also plays eve, we both have two accounts and he is willing to help.

I'm a carebear, I don't pew pew, so no meme's or acronyms. Use your words!


What ship and fit do I need to solo gank them, and if bro is involved what ship's with what fit do we need for tag team action?


For the love of God please give me a straight answer without mentioning something about killing pods in jita with arty thrashers, whatever the F that means. Yeah, someone posted that in response to pretty much this same post on GD.

Why waste time and money on bots. Report them or move.

Here is a goon's destroyer fit that was used for ganking. But for a tanked hulk you will need more than that - or more people shooting at the same time.

A tier 3 cruiser (the new cruisers that just came out, for example Tornado) would do the trick, but they are rather expensive for your task.

For the record, OP doesn't like when people use pvp terminology. OP, if I were to say fill up your skill queue, you would know what that means. Does that make it a meme or acronym or is it just the language of the game? Well the pvp game is similar - it has it's own language. I bet there are lots of "carebear" things you could say that I wouldn't understand (especially if you do manufacturing or invention).

Before you get all butthurt and complain that people aren't "spoon feeding" (your words) you enough, just be clear as to what you don't understand. Also, before trying something new, you should do some homework first so you understand the basics of what you are trying to do. I bet you read EVE survival when you started running L4 missions or read a PI guide before you staarted that. Why would you think PVP or suicide ganking to be any different?

Unfortunately the reason its assumed to be easy is that those who dont do it (an arguable majority) honestly believe that only degenerates, adolescents, and sociopaths would do such a thing. Thus these people can't possibly undertake something requiring all that much skill right?

Then again those who troll them feel the same way about rock grinding...so i suppose its an even trade until one crosses sides.

i would suggest blaster brutixes but I don't think that'll work in a 0.9
