We are still recruiting

Slowly we are building up in force. I can see it from the ways we talk to each other in the corporation. Playing in a group made us think more about what we want to do in future, skills are being assigned in order to fit better in the corporation and to bring it onwards.

New players often have the problem that they don't know what to skill. They have no idea what they are going to do with their skills, nor if they will get any profit. Our Corporation is here to make you understand why it is important to know a bit about everything, but still focus on a career path. We help you not wasting your time by trying out new skills and seeing that you don't like it.

On the organization side: I see that it gets more and more complicated. We need active members. However, active members mean more work for me. In order to give some workload off to someone else, however, I need active members whom I can trust and who have gathered a certain amount of experience in CPA.
Next week, the first trainees are being upgraded to full members.

I was really thinking about creating a roleplay corporation several months ago. When I made CPA, however, I thought that roleplay would limit the acces to the public too much. Especially because it is rare to have active new players that want to join a small corp. When you add to this that the new player will need to be roleplaying all the time (because I would kick players who don't RP), then we could not grow. So no real roleplay for CPA, even though I will maybe open a channel someday when we get bigger.

When creating CPA I created some kind of background story, which is yet a quite sketchy concept:
CPA is the revival of a very old (like 2000-3000 A.D or so) corporation that existed when the first successful space colonies and trade routes were created by mankind, when flying around in a space ship became open to the public.

It was some kind of mercenary corporation that was supposed to suppress piracy. CPA was based on doctrines, rules that each member had to follow and align his ideologies to. CPA was quite successfull at the beginning, but never succeeded to expand due to its unability to be independent from earth resources provided by other corporations.

Centuries later (at EVE time), CPA documents were found in an old spaceship wreck and restored during an exploration mission. The Doctrines could be extracted. Due to the finder's lack of commitment to war and hostility, he decided to convert these doctrines into civic and industrial doctrines.

With a list of new rules and ideologies, Cosmonautic Privateering Agency was created, keeping the old name in homage to the pioneers of space travel.

We are recruiting

So far, we made a good development. We finally have our own forum . I guess I won the inofficial race against CCP. I am now in the process of designing membership cards and deciding what material we are going to use (I really like aluminium but it is so expensive). Probably there will be a huge delay until the membership cards get to our first members.

I am also planning on many features and events we are going to have in our corporation. I will not list them up, so that no one gets the idea of copying them. Unfortunately we will need many more players in order to do something. I am aiming to 20 for a first step and try to keep a good communication and overview. 20 will be good for starting a first structure pyramid, or at least to apply different job titles. 50 would be the next step, allowing an advanced ranking system, which gives the experienced members a bit more control and leadership. I am really looking forward on seeing the seeds grow.

Do not hesitate asking us if you want to join. We can be contacted over this forum, our proper forum, per eve mail or via ingame chat. But please have a look at the entry requirements. We have already got numerous requests from experienced players, but I had to deny them all.

Only a big sacrifice will get experienced players in: deleting their old characters who are too strong. These members, however, will probably be the ones who will qualify for mentor roles afterwards. Understand that there is a big difference between joining a corporation because of its ideologies and its plans or just because it has huge numbers.

I read through very inspirational documents and I think we will really going to plan big. in order to achieve this, we will not have to work only inside EVE, but also show some competences outside. Even just by being active in the forum or writing articles and stuff, we can get bigger. So at this place I can say: we need people who can contribute to CPA using their RL skills.

Apparently there are people out there who take this game too serious. I can very well understand that and I support that until the point that this seriousness really damages the gaming experience of other players and makes some parts of the game unplayable. I do not talk of individual pirates, nor of particular events like Hulkageddon. I just see that the whole system is corrupt. The vets are bored, the noobs can't get anywhere anymore. Do we have to wait until the supermightykickassmegaweaponleets leave, or is there a chance that CCP will do some balancing? I think neither one will happen, and that will cause EVE's death someday. Eve is great for being a sandbox, but when everyone is pushed in a certain direction by other players, it isn't anymore. Plus, many of the strong players can easily afford plexes each month by robbing out other players, so they are quite independent of the paying system. Some serious balancing needs to be done here.
In what game world will my children live in? They will earn the seeds of hate that are being sown today in eve. Eve will become a dumb goose-hunting game where some strong people can show off their power while players who only want a game and not a parallel life will have to sit in high-sec and see the gap between rich and poor, strong and weak getting bigger and bigger. There are aliens out there, and those aliens just look the same as everyone else. They just have no human communication, no morality.

Thanks god this doesn't really matter to me. Just wanted to lay down the facts and see why I still roam around high-sec. I will continue getting the best out of high sec until we breach into something better someday. Maybe there are some like-minded people who will join CPA. Others may feed the cancer.

(if ccp is reading this, YES thats how many newbs see the eve world)

We accept mainly english speakers but also as a foreign speaker, you can ask for an exception.

Wir akzeptieren zwar hauptsächlich englisch sprechende Spieler, für Ausnahmen kann man uns trotzdem fragen.

Nous acceptons avant tout des gens qui parlent de l'anglais, mais pour des exceptions on peut quand meme nous demander.

I am moving to a new flat and get a 100.000 kb/s connection. I think this will allow for lots of awesome things, especially recruiting videos, maybe an own radio channel (if I find some stuff to share). It is a really nice flat and when someone near where I live (Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany) joins CPA, I am surely going to invite him for a cup of tea.

I joined CPA a little more than a month ago. since then i have become a full member. CPA really encourages self discovery and it gives you the tools to do so.

Not only have i gained many skills whilst flying for CPA i have met many awesome pilots who are fun to do Ops with and are awesome to chat to.

I decided to go down a path of exploration and CPA has helped me alot along the way, giving me tips, items to use, a warm environment to voice my opinions and ideas for the future of the corp.

I have to say this is THE most friendly corp and n00b would want to join also LOTS OF FUN!!!!
