oddd can anyone explain

Ok so this is the story

I had this friend i played eve with and he was on my buddys list.

So couple of days ago he logged on and i says welcome back ,
He sasy he tried it but isn't gonna stay gonna play some *** wow stlye game.

I asked can i haz stuff etc he says yes and next day he contracts me soem stuff load of crap really less tahn 100 mil (free isk is free thou)

The next day i look at his char and its in a corp called doomhiem 666 or something close i think odd why is he joining a new corp when he says he was leaving but i was busy so brushed it aside so couple of days later i check again and it says there is no char by that name

i thought why give me stuff and block me so i tried with diff accts and his char is gone vanished not ingame anymore can someone explain ????

Doomhiem 666 is the name of the corp that bio'd characters goto

The character's information is maintained on the server for the sake of things like old corps that they might have been the founder of or other links to the character.

It also means that the name is still taken.

He not only quit, he killed off his character so he can "never" come back under that name.

wow thanks guys

i thought if u biomassed teh char it was gone forever, is it ?

making a new char with the same name could lead to problems if teh char had some history

if the char was a few days old and never been in a corp i can see why ccp would want to delete them

It's very easy to make a new character with the same name:

I was StillBorn CrackBaby. Some nub snivelled to CCP and my name got changed to CaldariCitizen Bla Bla. I promptly Bio Massed him as he was a useless alt.

The very next day another guy in my corp made StillBorn CrackBaby, same spelling lower case/upper case, etc and he is still out there. Occassionally one of my old m8's says hello to him and he tells them all to **** Off.....

I have been hit with the name change (Colonel Muammar Gadaffi if you were wondering) Since I had some SP invested they at least gave me a name change of my choice.

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.
