I'm pretty sure if Helicity was currently banned then you would see some sort of commentary about it on his blog. As there isn't, I can only surmise that he has moved on and lost interest in EvE.

Quoted for Truth. Even I'm considering retiring from my current activities and trying something new.

I, for one, am currently participating in Hulkageddon with my main while mining ice with my alt. Ahhh the sandbox that is EvE. Isn't it great!!

As far as official rewards go I'm just happy with tears extracted for my own amusement.

Thank you for your support.

Tweet dated 26 Feb saying he currently does not have time to play ATM.

He probably had a massive wall of ::disappoint:: crush his will to play after CCP didn't explode exactly like he predicted.

I was all in and had a pretty legit prize package until I heard Mittani was involved and then I was out. The event didn't need Mittens in it and him being involved in it was major turn off.

I would be glad to play supporting role and make some donations. Spank would be good to run it, Zed too. Split the prize packages between a few honest guys and then no one person could abscond with the whole purse - just in case. I doubt Chribba would hold prizes-I have asked him to hold monies for nefarious things and he has declined citing moral objections. Chribba is one cool dude. Cool

In the meantime, I will be having open session ganks coming soon-with 110% of the profits going to the guys who shoot. I say 110% because I always end up paying for some peoples losses if the loot doesnt drop or we get countered etc. Of course I am doing it for publicity and my campaign, which I know in advance will make people not want to participate :(

Hmmm

Quite right, quite right...And so supremely lol-worthy.

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

I don't mind Mittens being associated with Hulkageddon because of him being CSM Chair, I mind because of who he is as a player, his attitudes and personality. I simply don't like the guy. This was prior to him lying about everything I did while in CSM 6. Since then, I like dislike him more.

I was considering running something with a similar feel to it at one point. My thought was that the grief would be a little broader than just Hulk-ganking.

I could run it.

I mean, the only people who would vouch for my trustworthiness are also nefarious shitheels, but that's kind of par for the course for a scoundrel like me.

I suppose we could try and find a third party that would hold prizes for this sort of event. Maybe Somer or Darknesss.

Thoughts?

It. Makes no sense to start a hulkageddon now. Bots have been banned for 2 weeks and prob 1000 of them won be online anymore.

If ccp was smart, they didnt ban the bots but supported the player organized events like these. So everyone would have some fun.

I forgot about the mail, sorry.

Basically though, I don't have the time or energy to put into a venture like this at the moment but thanks for the ideas and whatnot ♥

The 'Hulkageddon V' event was originally due to take place in January 2012 but was postponed to take place for the whole of February due to Xmas/New Year etc. As Concord no longer pay out insurance on vessels perpetrating suicide ganking attacks the Goons were going to set up their own insurance scheme to cover ships used for suicide ganking in the Hulkageddon event.

Since then no official statement has been released by Helicity or the Goons and a channel/rules & prize list have not been set up as has happened on previous events. The Goons/TEST are still preoccupied with their 'tech' war in nul sec which is still ongoing so while that continues there will not be an official event.

Bat Country, a member corporation of the Goons alliance, are I think doing Hulkageddon-type activities of their own in Caldari high sec but it's not an event that anyone else can join in.

So other than any usual suicide gankers that frequent your region/s there is probably not a significant increased threat of being ganked atm. Blink
