The February Newsletter - It's big and brown.

The February Newsletter - in all its mile-long glory - has probably just arrived in your inbox. Since the newsletter goes out to current and some inactive players, many of which do not visit the site or forums, there's probably a lot there that you guys already are familiar with or have heard about.

That being said, what kind of content would you like to see added to the newsletter that would be interesting to you?

One of the most common requests is the latest news about player events, however a reliable unbiased report on that is about as easy to find as a Fleet Issue Typhoon contract in Jita that actually IS a Fleet Issue Typhoon. Another common request is stats and that's actually a doable one, so I'd really like to read what kind of stats you'd like in the newsletter.

Other than that, what else would you like to see in the newsletter?

While you're at it, throw any other comments, feedback, flames, thought, ideas, etc you have about the newsletter at me. I'm eager to read how I can make for a more interesting monthly digest for you.

I would be curious for this particular stat:

On average, how many wayward drones are "lost" (destroyed) due to people leaving them in old mission areas before down time removes them from the game?

While multitasking, I casually found fourteen wayward drones idling in empty space and down time is still a good fifteen hours away or so.

I on average rescue 20 mill a day in wayward drones.

I found it odd the Awakening trailer and the CDIA trailer weren't in there.

Moar of the Awakening Trailer girl. She somehow got adopted as the 'Andromeda' girl for EVE in my mind and I did it without even thinking about it.

I would also like to see how many are saved by humanitarian players. It took me the better half of an hour and some super fine tuning but I managed to scan down and save 3 hobgoblin 1's from certain doom in the cold dark space. It was worth the effort I say, it was worth the effort.

I like to see statistics on how many accounts have been banned or suspended due to botting and in what region of space they were found in. That would make things interesting for the gankers who like to narrow their search.

I'd like the newsletter to include real quotes from CCP offices/work spaces/meetings.

Preferably funny, in example:

"CCP Loktofeit: 'If I hear one more thing about incursions paying too much ISK I am going to up the rewards by 20 %'".

Yes, this is now a thread regarding payouts in incursions.

That's not a bad idea at all. I'll see if I can coordinate something with Guard or Spitfire on that front.

I'd take it one step further and completely traumatize them by forcing them to watch me PVP.

I'll hit the CSM up with that idea. It would make for a great additional avenue for the CSM to communicate with the players.

I'll see what Diagoras can cook up. No promises, though, as graphs usually have more than two colors and we don't tolerate that kind of craziness around here.

We actually have a page of those. It starts with "I can't figure out how to cut Beyonce off at the neck," and spirals down into a really bad place from there.

Hmmm, for some reason I didn't get the newsletter. I am subscribed to the newsletter according to the account management page and I also checked my mails blocked list and spam folder, nothzing zhere!

stats are good

server graph, maybe up to the previous newsletter, with some readable numbers ofcourse. maybe a subscriber count and breakdown too?

influence map, summarizing changes globally, also since the last newsletter

mineral price indices for the various market hubs

all i can come up with, might have some more ideas when more thoroughly beered.

edit: oh, and a few links to some top forum topics!
