Help. Sad

Sadly it's not the community you need help from, but yourself.

In a sandbox game you set your objectives first, then act accordingly to achieve them.

See, many fine peeps here suggested you take a cheap frig and learn to pew pew.
They are indeed the "community" answering you but it's a PvP community and of course for them it's obvious to suggest ships pew pew.

What you need instead is to sit down and find your objectives in yourself. It might or might not involve having to learn to ship pew pew.

Once you decided what you want to do once you "grow adult" in EvE, then eventually ask the community how to best achieve it.

3 years and that's all you managed to achieve?

My recommendation is you stop playing EvE and find a more suitable game.

you're doing wrong ofc.
1. buy at least 10 t1 frigs (better 20) with cheap fits. i recommend you to try rifter, incursus, punisher, merlin all good frigs.
2. go roam lowsec solo (solo is the key word here).
3.you will lose alot of them but this is normal.
4. profit

Not to mention this kind of post is getting old, this seems to be said a lot. Yet I don't understand why losing frigs without a clue helps you get one.

for the same reason that sometimes people that are afraid of heights go sky diving, because they man up and are like F THIS SPIT!.

I think we have one rare quasi-consensus here : EVE is probably not the right game for your play style.

I wish to pass that message minus any form of insult or bullying :p

A lot of people come to EVE hoping this will be some sort of space sim, maybe space colonization-ish game. Unfortunately, it's not a common type out there. Maybe try some risk taking? After all, if you quit, what is there to loose? Maybe you will enjoy living dangerously for a while :)

Best of luck finding your virtual home!

This is EVE. You are supposed to go out and explore everything, shoot everyone and steal anything that is not welded down. You first accomplish this by undocking and start acting without fear. No complaining, no whining, no rage quitting when someone drops 10 titans on your vigil.

The problem is that you have a loser attitude instead of a positive learning one. You are doomed unless you change yourself.

And you dont even log into the game. (You can't do it without avatar.)

And without playing the game you are giving ppl a lessons about how to play the game? Lol
Everybody need to play the game the way you would play it if you were playing it? or the way you want they play it?
Grow up.

I once made 4 bil in a little under 24 hours, I really need to start running incursions again Sad

As for the OP:
Learn to pvp, do so without having something other than your ships on the line, THEN focus on going out to WH space. If you try to do something that entails holding space, without first having a sound understanding of pvp, you will fail horribly, and will be bitter about it from losing whatever you invested.

If the forum is your saviour you are doomed. People talking out of both sides of thier mouth, hypocrites galore.

"EVE is a sandbox, EVE is what you make it"
"You don't get EVE". "You suck at EVE"

I can't be bothered to lie to you. I've been palying for 6+ and I've never figured out an effective way to repell griefers. No matter what you do, you are no longer doing what you planned to do and were logged in to do and are now entertaining attention whoring griefers. It's like someone threw you in to a McDonalds Playland and told you to babysit a bunch of snot nosed brats when all you wanted was a ******* hamburger.

you should have WAY more then 4 billion in assets after 3 years unless you are plexing your way thru. It just goes to show no risk no reward.

Having been wardec on a number of occasion, I can understand that it gets in the way of "normal" Eve enjoyment pretty quickly. I have tried loading cheap ship and fighting back, but at the end of the day, once it has gone on for awhile it seem very common that players start leaving the corp/alliance.
Don't get me wrong, I like that Eve can be a scary place and I wouldn't nurf wardecs; however wardec has the same problem that losec has. Those that engauge in Wardecs (and losec) are good at what they do and specced for it. You can only loose against these dudes for so long before you run out of isk, or stop enjoying getting your ass handed to you in less than 30 secs. Personally, I would just nerf offensive DPS from the aggressor corp by 50% to balance the odds a bit.
Anyway, back to OP; I would suggest that you find a nice corp alliance that would alllow you to get back to whatever in Eve that you enjoy doing. Obviously being in an NCP corp would avoid wardec and having a few ingame friends would get you some group play, incursion would get you some pick-up groups; and Fraction warfare sounds like its about to get a big re-jig in the next expansion.
Finally, in your shoes, I would just enjoy what you enjoy in the game, and I would refuse to quit because some idiot is giving me a hard time. The truth of most MMOs is that corp/ guilds come and go as "leaders" move on.
