We had an epic fleet battle last night:

Win some lose some.

Short story:
We flew around in a ca. 90 man fleet and shot some structures. Got hot dropped by ca. 150 enemies. Held our ground for ca. 5 minutes before friendlies and more enemies jumped in. 700+ in system IIRC. Mass slaughter, good fun.

I'm not sure what this meant for intergalatic politics, but as a mere soldier this was good fun.
