I am thinking of starting up a service that allows you to play eve on any computer anywhere with close to no lag. You wouldn't need any graphics card because the GPU would be in the cloud. The service would be similar to onlive. I am just looking to see if this is something that people would be interested in and if people are interested how much they would pay for such a service. I will make this service free for 2 months for people who refer others to the project. If there is interest I will have this up and running in a week or two.

I posted a thread on the eve subreddit Here.

Let me know your thoughts here or on the subreddit.

Sounds like a way to scam logins and passwords from people, TBH.

Not interested.

I take it you already got permission from CCP to avoid being sued into the ground for this, right?

That is a legit concern. I would have you setup an account on the website. Advise you not to use your eve username or password. Give you a file to log you into the server. And then allow you to use the eve client. A antivirus will be on the computer at all times to make sure there are no keyloggers on the machine. I assure you that is not my goal. Does that help with any of your concerns? Or what safeguards would you like to see in place?

Since nobody knows what is running on your machine, the only safe solution would be if we had authenticators with one-time codes. CCP will provide them SOON(tm)...
