I have 2 carrier pilots both with jump calibration 5, chimera 13 light years - archon 14.365 light years is this correct. Can one racial carrier jump further than the other or is there a bug

EVEMon gives the base stats of the carriers as both being 6.5LY. It sounds like you only have JDC 4 on you Chimera.

Yep - all carriers have the same jump range so you need to check your skills.
