You might not get a choice Origin acts weird. I bought a retail boxed copy of Syndicate (£5 cheaper retail than from Origin Ugh), it installed Origin and once that was done I logged into my EA account (they automatically became Origin accs) and then had to activate Syndicates CD key. It activated no problem but then instead of installing the game from the disk it insisted on downloading it via Origin before installing.

I have no clue why it did that or if its a common thing, never used Origin until I got Syndicate.

This has the potential of being one of the best science fiction video game trilogies of all time.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Anyone else notice in the latest trailer..live action. That a horse is running around in the middle of the city?

I mean why the **** is a horse even there? One it's a supremely metropolitan environment.. Look at all of Mass effects cities.
two it's the future, and we've mapped the known galaxy, and there are flying cars. So once again what purpose does a horse serve?

Seem like there was a check list for attempting to display chaos. 1. Screaming women/children. Check
Guy crashing through window. Check.
Horse running around with no rider. Check

Ok were good film this thing.

Maybe it was a mounted riot police horse that got loose after its rider got killed or injured.

Why in the universe of mass effect and during a robotic alien invasion would the police still have/use a horse? Or need to riot control in the middle of said alien invasion?

Firstly there's no reason mounted riot police would be any less effective at breaking up a mob in the future than they are today. As for needing riot control during an invasion that's obvious too, authority's would have to try and maintain order in the places not immediately under attack. Scared people would be fleeing and looting supplies, countless thousands could die just from stampedes.

People would be so terrified organising evacuations would difficult and dangerous, force would have to be used in some circumstances.

Yeah but the city was under attack... So riot police arent going to be anywhere or un concerned... especially if the city is being bombarded. and reapers are wrecking the place. And yes horses outdated by mass effect technology. (Have god damned jump pacts and hover vehicles...and psychic powers) Dont apologize for dumbness. (It was also live action and way way not as good as the CG one. Why do they keep making live action trailers for video games btw)

I don't see why they bothered either, the CGI trailers are better than that one.

edit: Finally played the ME3 demo. Meh. Didn't see any real differences in gameplay from ME1/ME2. Guess I'll wait for it go on sale. Oh wait, does Origin do sales?

Give the ME3 demo a try. Your opinion of the game might lower Sad

Super clunky cover mechanics, strange AI, awful weapons, really bad lip sync with dialogue, and characters just look weird. Like they're over rendered or something. I sure hope this demo doesn't really reflect the quality of the ME3 game cause wow, that was bad.

Bioware = EA.

I limit myself to 1 EA game per year. Since this is a new year, I'll get it if it has absolutely *stellar* reviews.

Other than that, no.
