WTF is with this overview delay....

All i see is CCP making it easier and easier for cloakies to get past gates. Why?

Are they trying to make T3's obsolete?

To many people crying about dying stupidly on gates?

I really dont care, learn to get around them and live.

Loosen that tinfoil hat bro, your brain needs blood to live.

I don't always use hax. But when I do, it's because I'm an NPC.. http://i.imgur.com/PUZou.jpg

What delay? It updates 2.5x faster now.

Changes to items in the overview are 2.5x faster. Addition of new things to grid and removal of things that have left grid seem to be laggin in the overview though.

I dont see it as faster and I dont lag in the game.

They appear in space for me, then 3 seconds later on my overview.

The "bugs" people are reporting are intended changes such as holding control down and not approaching while trying to lock.

Insta locks dont work anymore with this stupid delay built in without clicking in space. Why bother having an overview.

Stop mouse over the overview until he appears - profit. Read patchnotes. It updates faster, but the overview 'locks' when you mouse over it, so you have to keep the mousepointer off the overview until the cloaker appears, then move to the overview and ctrl-click.

That probably makes you slower than before, and is a nerf to the insta-lock campers, but it doesn't make the overview update slower as you say.

AFK-cloaking in a system near you.

*right clicks*
*selects warp to bookmark*
*presses F1 to activate cloak*
*breathes easier*

There is nothing wrong with this patch.

Lowsec being more accessible because people with a sub-second lock time on cloaky frigates can't get a lock anymore, is not a bad thing. Eventually the predators will realise that hunting the prey to extinction is bad for both prey and predator.

Don't hover your mouse over the overview

Only move when he appears

Lock of overview is a feature for big fights where the overview and broadcasted targets shuffle around. Sort of pauses the overview for you to select correct target.

Try it out and see if that helps.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

That works, but annoying!

Can run them bastards down again.

I abhor cloaky system sitters and prefer to kill them when they get in system :)

I also noticed, at least where im at now, that the jump in distance is 15k...makes it so you cannot insta lock, scram and web the gate crashers that think they are safe with a normal t2 scram.

Of course there are ways around this and I use them but seems silly as well. Why make it easier...

They set their ship up to survive and i set mine up to kill them regardless. Seems fair...why help them though?

You're doing it wrong.
Using CTRL+click is the most inefficient way to lock onto something.

Also please note that the CTRL-Key starts the locking-up when it is released, not when it is pressed.
At least that way it always has been, i haven't actually tried it out for a few weeks now.

Anyway.

Always activate your modules (scram, web) before you lock onto something.
It'll let you choose a target then. :)

Ahahahaha sweet gate-camper tears! How about leaving the gate and actually playing the game for a while?

Of course if someone who can beat you comes through the gate, you would still like the luxury of being able to skin out at your liesure, right?

Never mind the usage, its a **** poor update that breaks usability and renders any effort at twitch gameplay useless.

Clicking in space was the fast way to get insta lock. The fact they made insta-locking so much more accessible to overview clickers is a buff not a nerf.

Of course we do mr useless.

easiest way to kill a cloaky is on the gate. Once he is in space...how you going to kill em mr intelligent?
