Is it possible to do Nullsec ratting in a BattleCruiser, and if so, could someone give ma fit that would work well.

Yes

And yes, we could, but we would first need to know what you can fly. And you'll be much better received if you come across as "Would this fit work?" than "I'm too lazy to even make an effort, do all the work for me".

I can only fly Caldari Battleships.

I've worked on a few Fits for the Drake, and you really cant sacrifice any of the modules too much. The Ferox isn't as good either, because you only have 5 mids to work with.

Im thinking of running a cruiser or HAC for nullsec ratting now, mainly because I can get way more DPS than a BC.

Resist mods to match the rats.

The standard T2 Drake works just fine against belt rats (and is overkill, TBH). Belt rats top out at about 4 BS + 4 BC at the very worst (if they even get that bad, I'm not positive).

False on both counts; both the Ferox and the Drake (especially the Drake) tend to be overtanked by their pilots. I should know, I've been one of them.

You don't need a whole lot of tank for low or nullsec rats. I'd recommend a buffer, PvP fit Drake or Ferox for ratting over the passive regen mxzf listed. That way, you're not in a PvE ship when you're caught at a belt or plex ratting. Yes, i did say "when," not "if."

What flavor of rat are you expecting to encounter?

If you're in Guristas/Serpentis/Angel space a drake is an option.

A standard PvP drake is the best option as you can defend yourself and fight back effectively.

I'm fairly new to the game, but I had a chance to live in Null with a buddy for awhile.

He had me fit my Drake pure buffer. Something along the lines of Extender Rigs, 2 Large Shield Extender II's, 2 Therm and one Ballistic Amplifier (As it was Serpentis Null), 10nm AFB, 4 BCS II's, 7 x Heavy Missile Launcher II's, and a Drone Link.

I ran all the Foresaken sites (Hubs, Rally Points etc) Solo, and several of the escalations solo. All you do is kite everything around, although I was one shotting frigs and 2 shotting cruisers. So they all went pretty quick. Never died, never even had a close call, and was still able to pull 80 or 90million an hour, which maybe isn't great, but was great for a n00b:)

Note: Sorry I couldn't post a fit like the others here, not sure what they use to do that:P EFT, maybe?

I have null sec ratted in a taranis...you don't get hit, but it takes forever to kill ****.

You can rat in pretty much anything.

I prefer a carrier with fighters to grind through sanctums. $$$
