Train unallocated skill points!?

Do you feel familiar in the situation in where you don't know what to train? Or have you ever been are stuck in 0.0 and there is just not a possibility at that moment for you to go to empire and fetch a particular skillbook? Are you going afk for a certain amount of time and your current skill plan will expire well before you come back home?

Some of these situations have been familiar to me indeed, at that time I always have wanted the ability to train unallocated skill points for which I later can apply! Obviously the self trained unallocated skill points would have a cap so it wouldn't be abused(?), lets say 1mill SP.

Thoughts? Would you like this? Maybe it has been mentioned before?

That dont really make sense. You train what actually? Mining asteroids or shooting that big gun? But you cant train both (or none)! There aren't much skills that are worthless to train to 5. Maybe Jury rigging to 5 if you aren't an indie char, and Multitasking 4 and 5. So train now these armor and shield compensation skills to 5 instead of posting ridiculous ideas on the forums.

Yes, a few times...

I believe this is in the running for "understatement of the century".

To the OP, it has been instantly and horribly shot down every single time. It won't happen. Go read a few of the other threads on it and see the myriad reasons why it's an abysmal idea.

Znoran - I know that you are anxious to get up and biomass yourself for the good of the EVE community, but please, let's talk a little while you walk down the hall to that suicide booth. First off, this has been suggested COUNTLESS times, again and again. It's like a bad zit, and every time the EVE community pops it and it fades away, two more pop up somewhere else. Sometimes in assembly hall, sometimes in F&I, once I even saw one in C&P! Had you searched the forums a bit, you would have seen this. It doesn't matter since you're being biomassed (again, thanks for that - we'll all be better off), but if you do decide to try EVE again, please learn to search the forums first.

Secondly - why do you need this? You are unable to make a decision? That is one of the core parts of EVE! You make decisions, and then you live with them. Didn't know that training Afterburners V was probably a bad idea? Well, better luck next time, now deal with your choice. EVE has no backsies, no revert to last save, no undo the last 10 minutes button. You have to make decisions.

EVE will never have SP respec, transfer, blank training, or purchasing SP (other than the character bazaar, which is wrong on so many levels. However, we're about to that suicide booth, so I won't get into that right now). SP will not be rewarded for actions, services, or because you whine a lot. SP come from training skills and that alone, and once you've trained those particular skills, than you're done. You cannot change that action, EVER. You have those skills until you are biomassed, and then you have no skills (like you're about to be!).

So, in conclusion: NO.

Now, enjoy that suicide booth! In you go!

If you honestly can't think of anything to train that would improve whatever game you play in Eve, I'd suggest making an alt to be sold in the bazaar. Extra isk with very little effort.

This has been brought up many times. Not really a particularly bad idea but one that is not popular due to those that really hate change. It probably won't happen. Just learn to use the skill queue.

wtb: new bait thread topics

why must these always say "I don't know if this has been mentioned before" in some way in all threads...Is there an APA manual kind of thing for bait posting in publication that says its needed?
