this is my forum alt and I just got a Loki for Amarr space ratting .... Here is my setup

Electronic- Tactical Targeting Network
Defensive- Amplification Node ( I have HG Halo's... Drops it to 77mm )
Engineering- Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Offensive- Turret Concurrence Registry ( It looks nicer than the other ... I will not change it )
Propulsion- Fuel Catalyst

Rigs
-2 T2 CCC Rigs
-1 T1 CCC Rig

Highs
-6 425 T2 Autocannons

Medium
-Gistum A-Type 10mn Afterburner
-Pithum A-Type Medium Shield Booster
-Gistum A-Type Inulnverability Field
-Pith A-Type Heat Dissapation Field
-Gist A-Type Ballistic Deflection Field

Lows
-T2 Damage Control
-4 Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizers

If I am fighting Sansha's (Leaving the omnitank) is there anyway to improve this fit. Also in combat do i just approach and fire ? Any reccomendations or advice would be very helpful.
Thank you.

It's a pretty bad setup. If you're hell-bent on keeping the Turret Concurrence Registry at least swap out the Augmented Capacitor Reservoir for a Power Core Multiplier and drop the 425s for 720s. If you want to perma run, drop the suitcase for a PDU. Your applied DPS is going to be similar with that horrifyingly bad range on your original setup. Just kite everything and plink away at will.

which with no web can deal with frigs better as they can be a pita. With t3, its not the bs' you fear, its the frigates in the room. They web, they paint and they scram. If you don't want the drones that much, how bad do you want that 4th gyro? I'd do 3 gyro 1 te if it works. More dps all well and good....but it actually has to hit a target to matter.

But as you want cap stable or close to it and ain't scared to spend money, look into the type a passive resists. Me I run b types and would say go for them for more isk savings. If you must keep the invul, even replacing one active hard with a passive will help that cap out a bit. Shield resist to 4 is workable, 5 if you really want to. I run tengu with the passives and skill level 4. Keep that speed tank up they do me fine as is. You got 2 racials....this could free up some cap, maybe a ccc to run a projectile rig.

I'm sorry to say...but ... projectile loki has one big flaw for missioning: damage projection (have you looked at “Smash the supplier"?…yea…)
Fortunately there is a remedy, that imo makes loki=tengu for missioning: Loki Offensive - Hardpoint Efficiency Configuration
that baby lets you use missiles, and beefs up the drone bay to use mediums. The fit would be something along these lines:

[Loki, Misshuns]
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

10MN Afterburner II
Pithum B-Type Medium Shield Booster
Invulnerability Field II
Invulnerability Field II
Shield Boost Amplifier II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Mjolnir Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Mjolnir Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Mjolnir Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Mjolnir Fury Heavy Missile
220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, EMP M
220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, EMP M
220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, EMP M

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Loki Defensive - Adaptive Shielding
Loki Electronics - Tactical Targeting Network
Loki Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Loki Offensive - Hardpoint Efficiency Configuration
Loki Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst

Hammerhead II x4

This fit, with 5 low-grade crystals (no omega) will happily tank ~700 omni dps, cap stable @45% w/ everything running. Can increase the pimpage according to your wallet but overall I’d try not to get A-type mods in there….

Engagement ranges:
Close range: 1.5-3k: drones+autocannons. (I chose smaller ones than 425's to help w/ tracking), if gunnery skills are lacking can downgrade the autos to 180's for more tracking. Autos should be used to deal with frigs, with the drones lending a hand if needed.

Medium range - Up to 60k drones+missiles = 500 dps (425 w/ T1 missiles)
Scout Drone Operations adds 5km/level->45k at V
Electronic Warfare Drone Interfacing -> + 3km per level to your control range. That'll get your drone control range up to 45+15= 60km at V.

Long range = target lock range = 68k at max skills, only missiles will reach there, and do a meh 370 dps (298 w/ T1 missiles)
________________________

Strategy would be: burn to within 60k of the big guise and engage w/ drones+missiles, use autocannons to deal with any frigs that move into range. When incoming damage is low enough move in for the kill and apply full dps guns+drones+missiles of 656 w/ T2 missiles (573 w/ T1 missiles)

Missile implants are available to increase your effectiveness. You will need well rounded skills to use the fit

^ It may not be "=tengu" as you stated but I like the idea, will try it.
Thanks !

In any case is pretty darn close

Tengus tend to have issues with frigs and stuff not vulnerable to kinetic (or so I gathered out of various forum posts).
The above loki fit solves the frigate problem and the kinetic damage issue. All-in-all mission completion time should be roughly similar, with the advantage swinging to tengu for "vs kinetic" enemies and to loki vs sansha/angels.

As with tengus, remember to keep your range vs the BS's/cruisers in a fresh pocket and use missiles/drones from afar.

take one of gyros off 4 makes the bonus of using multiple gyros disappear then use maybe a tracking enhancerBig smile
