So soon, what now? Can it really be?
It seems so cruel, an untimely fate,
The end is here, where's the glee?

So loathed were you at creation,
A battle was waged against your being,
A blot were you upon the station,
Unloved, hated, eyeball peeling.

But your silent vista, grey and brooding,
Became a true and soothing sight,
And in your shine and moody lighting,
A calmness settled every night.

And so at the end, only now we see,
No hassle, no drama, you were great.
You cost me nothing, you were free,
But all these truths come too late.
